Dishonest dealership. Selling cars with bad engines. Returned within a week and they did not honor their 500 mile 2 week warranty. General manger told my son to “deal with it like a man”. Dealership, ssales manager and sales man shady I requested to get info about a vehicle I was interested in through CarGuru, I did not get a call, therefore, I ended up calling the dealership and as I requested to get info about a vehicle I was interested in through CarGuru, I did not get a call, therefore, I ended up calling the dealership and asked to see the vehicle, Erwin a very young salesman answered the phone, he never asked for my name just gave me direction to the dealership. I drove over an hour and out of courtesy I asked for him since I spoke with him over the phone. He never really greeted me, we took the car for a test drive, he did not know much info about the car. I explained i had my own financing and that I would have to come back to work the deal since I had to take my daughter to work. He pulled out the foursquare to negotiate, I wrote what I wanted and that I would come back with a check, long story short, I agreed to their price, left with full intentions to go back. I texted Erwin and did not get a text or call back. I had few questions about the outrage TTL fees after the price on the vehicle so I called before driving back, I asked to speak with a sales manager since Erwin was not returning my text/calls, the person who answsered asked for my name, I am sure they had my name on a log, this person hung up the phone on me. I thought it was by mistake so I called again and they hung up on me again. I then sent a text to Erwin that I was not sure what happened and that maybe he didn't know I was serious about buying the vehicle that I needed some information my credit union needed, he finally returned my text not answering any of my questions and said: "if you come back I'll be able to answer your questions and put you through our finance to break down the details of the extra fees." TTL fees is not over $3k on a 13k vehicle. This young man is clearly not interested in selling cars, but I blame the sales managers for not speaking to me either when I was there ones I agreed to their final price. Waste of time and energy at this dealership. I wish I would have checked the reviews first. Erwin was very unprofessional. More

They are the Worst!! Our son purchased a car Nov 4th from them, and not only is the buying process a scam, they still have not paid off the car that was traded in. Mind you our son was already approved through our own bank, USAA and in order to buy the car we went there for, they required our son to get approved with their finance company. It didn’t matter that they spoke to USAA and had the email stating funds were available for disbursement they said this is to protect them incase the funds did not come through. Regarding the Trade it is now 01/02/2020 and they keep Lying to us and stating they sent payment, first on 12/10 and then they said oh went on 12/20. USAA even called asking for tracking #’s and they have not provided them with anything. At this point our son is having to make both car payments… this is putting a financial strain on him and his family. If I could of gave them 0 stars I would. I would stay away from this company regardless at how good they make the deal seem… because in the end its not a good deal with the financial and mental stress they cause. Should have paid better attention to the reviews!! More
I called in to inquire about a vehicle I was looking to purchase. Erwin, who did not respond to my previous emails happened to pick up the phone ironically. I asked to speak to someone in the finance department about the vehicle I was interested in purchasing. He placed me on hold for over 10 minutes without response. I then called back to speak to a General Manager because he obviously was not capable of helping me. After giving him my first and last name he refused to give me his General Managers name nor transfer my requested services to another available salesman. Then he promptly hung up in my face. I immediately called back and a guy that sounded identical to ERWIN picked up the phone and refused to give me his name as well but, requested mine.. BUYERS BEWARE of this establishment, this is my first encounter with them and will definitely be my last. This place has SHADY all over it! More
Deceptive and unprofessional Car Dealership Equity Auto Center quoted me a “total out the door price” over the phone on a used vehicle. I traveled about 2.5 hours to purchase the vehicle only t Equity Auto Center quoted me a “total out the door price” over the phone on a used vehicle. I traveled about 2.5 hours to purchase the vehicle only to find out that they increased the “out the door price” amount by about $1,200.00 over what was originally stated during our phone conversation. When asked about the increase in price the manager said it was partially due to the $799.00 they had to charge for tinting the front driver and passenger side windows; this would cost maybe $100.00 at any window tinting shop. The other $400.00 increase was due to the increase in taxes as the "manager stated he did not know" exactly which vehicle I intended to purchase, even though I informed the manager over the phone that I was only interested in one specific vehicle and included that vehicle's Equity Auto Center stock number. I asked if the vehicle had been mechanically inspected and the sales rep stated all of their vehicles are inspected before they are listed for sale. I then showed the sales rep the extremely low radiator fluid level, well below the minimum line, and the vehicle on board alert system indicating the oil needed to be changed. The sales rep had no response. Regarding their facility, I unfortunately arrived right as it was getting dark and the lot had numerous (possibly 30) outdoor light poles. Of all light poles only approximately 20% were functional making it very difficult to view and inspect the vehicle. Could this be by design??? Needless to say, the employees were not honest and are very shifty. That being said, I decided not to purchase the vehicle. After I informed the manger that I would not purchase the vehicle I asked for the original document the sells rep filled out with all of my personal identification information. The information contained in the document included my name, date of birth, SS# etc. The manager refused to give me the document and/or shred it as it was now the “property of Equity Auto Center”. Equity Auto Center is very deceptive and unprofessional. More
Worst car purchase ever! Do Not buy a car from Equity Auto Center! They did nothing to check this car out for problems. We put $5000 down on a 2016 Kia Soul to find out from Do Not buy a car from Equity Auto Center! They did nothing to check this car out for problems. We put $5000 down on a 2016 Kia Soul to find out from the Kia dealer needs another $3000 to make it road worthy. It has 2 bent rims, needs tires, brakes,; which the salesman lied about when asked if they checked the brake condition. Plus numerous other issues. I am 72 years old and have owned many cars in my life. This is the worst rip off ever! Stay away or you will get screwed too.Bad Deal. More

I bought this car with a Chase Auto Loan with a 5% interest rate, the dealership needed a backup deal that they sent to Wellsfargo for a 11.57% interest rate just in case I didn't bring back the check within 72 hours. First off, they WOULD not send me the documents to send chase that was needed to cut me the check. Telling me they would have it first thing in the morning sent over. When nothing was sent, I called and the salesman was a complete A**. Then they sent me a copy of the dealers license which was literally a piece of paper with it written on it! Which the Chase Rep actually laughed at. And the WORST part of this whole thing is, I finally got my auto loan from Chase, took it over to them. And Equity STILL sent my loan to Wellsfargo!! So now I have another loan taken out in my name for 11.57%!!!! I talked to a Wells Fargo Rep and they said that Equity should have put a stop on it and didn't, AND that its effecting my credit! I AM BEYOND UPSET! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER, DO NOT EVER BUY A CAR HERE. I have had to sit on the phone countless hours trying to clean up there mistakes. It is literally a bunch of kids in there that have NO idea what they are doing. More

They guided us toward a vehicle that has a high safety rating, a factory warranty, fantastic mpg and a price that is unbeatable. The staff went to work for us for a loan rate we didn't think was available, We decided to buy the car Tuesday night, all they paperwork was done before my husband flew down Friday and drove home Saturday. I tell anyone and everyone that will listen about the customer service and reliable cars at Equity Auto! More
Company needs to go out of business Being they couldn't finance me cause I came with a check to drive off the lot, they wanted 1600 additional for a tint fee and a 900 $ commission. Lucky I got a dealer on call saying that what they was asking for wasn't worth it. They thought they can run game but their business is a scam. If u buy a car with tint from them, they include a tint fee for nothing. The car price don't include the tint which is 700. That's what the dude said its how they make their money More
