Service writer didn’t remember who we were; we’d checked in with him. We asked for our iPad from our truck and knew we were in trouble when he drove the car up so we could get it. He had not told us that they had not yet even started on it after two hours. He suggested we might have another two hour wait. We left. We will never go to that dealership again. And we bought the truck there! More
I called Vista Ford Lincoln Oxnard, Service Department after receiving a letter from The NHTSA to call and make an appointment without delay to schedule my airbag safety recall repair. The service represe after receiving a letter from The NHTSA to call and make an appointment without delay to schedule my airbag safety recall repair. The service representative scheduled me to bring my SUV 2 weeks later. A day before my appointment, I called again to confirm my appointment. On the day of my appointment, I checked in my SUV for the repair. An hour later, I was notified by the service advisor that they did not have the part required to fix the safety repair. I ended up taking a half-day off work and burning 4 gallons of gas. It was an extremely frustrating experience. It makes me wonder if there is an engaged Service Department management team ensuring a better customer service experience. More
If you miss car dealerships with old fashioned high pressure sales this is the place for you! Our sales man was David. We loved a used Expedition, but I wanted to research. We could run the numbe pressure sales this is the place for you! Our sales man was David. We loved a used Expedition, but I wanted to research. We could run the numbers and keep them in mind. We are just talking about options inside when another sales guy came in to take the same car we were looking at on a test drive. (The whole thing seemed like an over the top act to trick us.) David told the guy the car was sold.... David assuming we were buying the car is what made us want to leave. We were headed out. I went to get my son out of their play room. I came back to David and his sales Manager Lou telling my husband he could do an extended test drive for three days with no commitment. I was like we will talk it over and Lou assures me no commitment. We get in the next desk to finalize what we were told was an extended test drive when I noticed we are signing papers for dmv registration etc as if purchasing. I tried to get up to talk to my husband in private and was told just a few more papers to sign.... I left pissed and decided I may calm down before the 3 days... My husband found the same vehicle with less miles from another ford dealer in LA "certified" as they say for 8.5k less today. So he was going to go up return the car or negotiate a better deal. David was there and never said more than two words, no handshake, seemed like he was pouting. When my husband spoke with Lou he made the comment that he thought we were ready to buy and were just wanting to get a feel for driving. So I guess David misled him too. I would not trust this dealership just from our experience... it is 2020 there are better ways to sell cars than how this dealership is doing it. More
