Michelle, (Operator) Thank you soooooo much for your kind help this morning re: copying my proof of insurance from my email to you to print out. You went above and beyond as I was delayed to be able to kind help this morning re: copying my proof of insurance from my email to you to print out. You went above and beyond as I was delayed to be able to take my loaner car home for over an hour due to no one telling me that I needed to bring proof of insurance again, that Encinitas Ford already had in the system, but you couldn't access. I told your Manager Jeff of your extraordinary kindness, understanding, and help, when no one else was around to help at all. Please forward this email to him, as I do not have his email. Encinitas Ford is an old fashion dealership that is locally owned and operated. It is not part of a dealership group (that's a good thing) and they do not add unwanted things to their new cars and ther locally owned and operated. It is not part of a dealership group (that's a good thing) and they do not add unwanted things to their new cars and there are no addendums posted on the vehicles window. The salesmen show you all their vehicles and answer all your questions without putting any pressure on you to buy from them. My salesman was Mike Stark, he was super helpful and stayed with me the entire purchase process. He explained all the Maverick's features and made sure he had a new Maverick ready for me to test drive. Once I made the decision to buy from him, he made sure the service department washed, prepped, and filled the gas tank so that my new Maverick was ready to drive home when I came out of the finance office. Very nice buying experience overall and I would definitely recommend Mike Stark as a salesman. More
My experience with Encinitas Ford was overall very frustrating. My 2021 Ranger with 40K miles was having transmission issues, which presented as hard shifting from 2-3. I was then informed that my frustrating. My 2021 Ranger with 40K miles was having transmission issues, which presented as hard shifting from 2-3. I was then informed that my transmission needed to be "rebuilt" with no explanation what that entailed. After two weeks passing and two separate occasions where they "think they had it fixed", I got a phone call stating that it is ready but now shifting hard from 3-4. When I pushed back stating that I would like all issues to be completely resolved they said it was likely due to my "big off road tires and tune". My tires are average 33'' BFG All Terrain T/A's and both the tires and Ford Performance tune were installed by the Ford Performance team on the show room floor of North County Ford. With no resolution from Encinitas Ford, I had to take this issue up with Ford Customer Care, where they attempted to resolve this issue. They contacted the dealership, specifically Duke, where he said "the vehicle is fixed, no issues". That was odd being that just the day before they called to say it was still shifting rough. Ultimately I showed up to the dealership and got the run around by both Duke and Chris. Their stories were not aligned on the issue being resolved and said "if it's still having issues, bring it back in 150 miles." So, at the end of the day I brought my truck in due to rough shifting and I received it back exactly two weeks later with rough shifting. Not only this, but a sense that they were not expecting me to be inquisitive on the issues, which ultimately lead them to fumble around and appear dishonest when it came to answering my questions. I would highly recommend North County Ford or a larger dealership for anything more than basic maintenance. As a side note, I informed Duke I would be writing a review of my experience in an attempt to be clear that my expectations were not met. More
Worthless! If you have extra cars to leave for service, so that they can maybe get to it someday when they feel like it, this is your service place. But this If you have extra cars to leave for service, so that they can maybe get to it someday when they feel like it, this is your service place. But this is our only car, and I can't just leave it with Encinitas Ford forever. I've been hoping to get service on my 2014 Ford Focus EV, to fix a slow charging problem that arrived when they replaced the HV battery a few years ago. So April 23 I scheduled an appointment for the earliest available, May 21, 8:00 am. Had the car there before 8:00 and was told I was one of the first in line for today, but they had a backlog of 20 or 30 from yesterday, and another 45 scheduled for today. 4:05 pm comes around (they close at 5:00 pm), no call received. Forman Chris Reeves said that they didn't even have time to look at it. Now bear in mind, that I had already diagnosed the problem, presenting to them the Diagnostic Test Codes and related Technical Support Bullitin identifying the problem I am having with the car. Multiple videos on the internet show the problem being fixed with a programing update in less than 9 minutes. But Encinitas Ford didn't even have time to make a 2 minute status check. I asked Reeves if he could schedule a two-hour window some day, to just look at the problem, he relied that there is no way for Encinitas Ford service to do that. I just have to leave the car with them for however long they feel like. 'Go ahead, leave the car with us, maybe we will work on it some day, LOL' is what they told me essentially. My advice, go anywhere else. More

I was in the market for a new 2023 Ford Bronco Sport. Either a Heritage Limited or a fully loaded Badlands. I saw both a Badlands and Heritage Limited on Encinitas Ford's website so I called and inquir Either a Heritage Limited or a fully loaded Badlands. I saw both a Badlands and Heritage Limited on Encinitas Ford's website so I called and inquired about them. The salesperson showed me the Heritage Limited which was advertised on their website at full sticker. When I told him I would buy it - the price was suddenly full sticker plus $10k for market value adjustment which is another term for gouging your customer in my opinion. The next day the salesperson texted me and said he had a fully loaded Area 51 color Badlands with a moonroof that just arrived. I told him I would take it at full sticker. He texted me that it was mine. He then had me text my driver's license and insurance card info so he could start the paperwork. He set an appointment for 4:00pm for me to come in to sign the paperwork and pick up my new car. Later in the day he texted me that that car was no longer available but he had something else in mind for me. At that point I realized that this type of shell game / bait and switch sales tactics seemed to be designed to try and get me emotionally involved in the sales process so I would either pay more than sticker or settle for something less than what I wanted. A few days later I was able to buy the same Heritage Limited Bronco from Aaron Ford in Poway at $2k under sticker or $12k less than what Encinitas Ford wanted to charge. More
