I came in looking for a used car that I saw listed on their website for a fairly competitive price. After checking out the car, I told them that I wanted to finance it. They of course disappeared to th their website for a fairly competitive price. After checking out the car, I told them that I wanted to finance it. They of course disappeared to the back to run the numbers, and they came back to me with a monthly payment which seemed a little high. I told them that I couldn't work with their figures, and wanted more of a discount. they disappeared again, and told me they knocked off their dealership fees of $750. great. however, i still told them that i was dissatisfied and that it still seemed high. another 'manager' tried to seal the deal by offering me a four year bumper-to-bumper, comprehensive 'gold' warranty because he couldn't lower the price any further. since the car i was looking at was already known for reliability, i wasn't too thrilled with this trade-off. so, i walked out mulling it over. later that night, i was doing the math at home and trying to figure out how they arrived at their monthly payment. i couldn't calculate it the same way, so i called back asking them what extra fees they must have thrown in, because something wasn't right. they basically admitted to me that the cost of the warranty was in that figure. i then realized that the first price that they quoted me bundled in the warranty, and they never told me!! in other words, they were going to make me pay for a $1500 warranty without telling me, and perhaps without actually giving it to me if they could get away with it. the 'manager' had also tried to negotiate with me to 'give me the four year warranty when i was already paying for it!! these guys are a bunch of crooks. i explicitly called them out on it and told them they were lying to me, they were dishonest, etc. they barely even apologized (i'm assuming they must do this everyday), and when i spoke to their boss, he didn't even apologize! he tried to offer me the same warranty 'at cost' which was over $500 lower than the price they were selling it to me for. that made me even madder because: (1) they had jacked up the price by 50% for something they don't even have anything to do with - the warranty is valid at any dealership; and (2) they still didn't get the picture - they refused to honor their offer of that original price with the warranty thrown in, which i was seriously willing to accept. in other words, they never would have actually given me the deal that they said they would. they only would have 'given' it to me if they had gotten away with it. these guys suck. dishonest bunch. the only thing that was good about this place is the free chocolate chip cookies that i had, which they have by the receptionist for free. i recommend the cookies to everyone, the dealership to no one. I tried several dealerships and was not happy, especially the one I bought from for years. I was looking for a 2010 Highlander V6. Ended up going to the Huntington dealer since over the phone Danielle told m the one I bought from for years. I was looking for a 2010 Highlander V6. Ended up going to the Huntington dealer since over the phone Danielle told me if I had a 2007 Highlander to turn in, I could get credit for the low mileage I had on it and they might buy it from me. The dealer I used to use told me they would take my 2007 Highlander but there was no value in it for them as it just went to the bank that owned they car (this was a lease car). So, it was an easy decision to go out of my way to visit the Huntington dealer. They inspected my car and ended up buying it and I got a new 2010 Highlander from them and the day I came everything went very well. It was the best experience I have had with a dealer (all whom I threaten that WalMart will someday sell cars and all we'll have to do is give them our Visa card and walk out the door with it -- this is usually a horrible process as we all know). Well, I was pleasantly surprised and I got this Highlander early December, 2009. They have new management and they want to make us happy. Well I was and I'll go back there in three years for another leased car. More
