Buying a car I was pleasantly surprised by my visit to Huntington Toyota. I would recommend the dealership to everyone. The staff was very nice and helpful. My sal I was pleasantly surprised by my visit to Huntington Toyota. I would recommend the dealership to everyone. The staff was very nice and helpful. My sales person was David Schweitzer, he was excellent and made the purchase of a vehicle easy . He answered all my questions about the car and really made me feel like he was looking out for my best interest. David is truly a asset to the Huntington dealership and they are very lucky to have him.juan Santana was also excellent with all the leasing paperwork he explained everything I was signing and made the process easy and pleasant, another great employee that the dealership has. Hidden charges I went with my wife and her sister to this dealership because she lives in Huntington and believes in buying local. This was Monday, June 22, 2014. I I went with my wife and her sister to this dealership because she lives in Huntington and believes in buying local. This was Monday, June 22, 2014. I live out of state in NJ. I was loaning her the money and therefore writing an out of state check. They did have the car she wanted on the lot. After I wrote the check the salesman said we needed a certified check and we were not about to go back to the NJ bank to get one so we got to leave and at that point the salesman said don't go we can have you fill out a credit form. They had us fill out paperwork with my ss#, and my wife's. While doing this the finance manager came out and said we don't need this and scribbled on the form. He said that my sister-in-law could sign a contract for a loan which would take affect if the check didn't clear. He said she could do that when we came back to pick up the car. We had negotiated a final price on the car and said we would be back at 7:00 PM to pick up the car.. Before leaving, I asked the salesman, ( Bengie ) if everything was settled, and he replied yes. We returned at 7:10 and I looked for the car on the lot. Not there. Bengie was on phone and we waited until he got off and I asked where was the car. He said out back. I walked out back and looked the car over and no license plates on it. I asked Bengie about them he said he would take care of that. We wanted to get across the George Washington Bridge before the night time construction started and I asked Bengie AGAIN is everything set. He said yes and wished us a safe trip home as did Mike ( finance ) guy. We find out later they charged her over $200 more for plates. We understood they were in the original negotiated price. Then on Tues the dealership calls me and wanted to know about my experience. I told the young lady I was not happy and why. She said that's not right and she would have the manager call me. Still waiting, and it is now Wed., afternoon. Wed. morning my wife got an alert that someone checked her credit rating, mine too probably. It was Huntington Toyota. We called and asked the dealership why and they didn't know. Since my sister-in-law signed a contract for a loan they had no reason to check our credit. By waiting until we left we feel it was an underhanded move to then tell her she owed for the plates.I believe they purposely waited until I left and took advantage of my very naïve sister-in-law. I would not go back there to purchase a car and will not recommend to anyone. I will take my sister-in-law to a different dealer or manufacturer for her next car. More

He made the purchase a more positive experience, trying to be helpful to me. I would recommend him to a friend buying a Toyota. The management would not have gotten the same good grades. They made the experience much less a positive experience. Every moment was a bantering process, which was an unpleasant experience. I left feeling exhausted by the process with management........ Somehow I ended the bill came up to $523 with about $350 in labor fees alone. I've been coming to your service center for more than 3 years. It keeps getting pricier. I have a 6-year old Prius with less than 50,000. How is it that I have spent more than $2000 during this time. Granted the car broke down once in 2012 but even that fix - which was extensive - was less than what I paid yesterday. It is outrageous. On top of that your crew scratched my car! I will have to look elsewhere for maintenance that I can afford moving forward. More

He provided a very low-pressure atmosphere, and since this was our first time buying a car, it was helpful to be able to take our time. The entire process from finding the car to purchasing it and trading in our old vehicle was very smooth and hassle-free. Would definitely recommend! More

Great Victor Arias, great Joe but Awful and Clueless Juan! First of All, Victor Arias and Jasmine Farraj are great people and i would still recommend this dealership despite my nightmare 7 hours-plus ordeal at First of All, Victor Arias and Jasmine Farraj are great people and i would still recommend this dealership despite my nightmare 7 hours-plus ordeal at this dealership because of these two people and my great experience with buying my 2013 Camry last year (Jasmine Farraj). The dealership made me wait for over 7 hours at the end of which, all the numbers we talked about were changed by the totally incompetent and clueless Juan Santana (or may be that was the plan). I had a 5 months old baby with me and they made us wait with the baby for over seven hours without any regard. Selling a car is more important to them than anything else or may be they didn't even consider me and my baby a human being Here is what happened to me and my family at this dealership on 5/31/2014 Episode one: (The lack of common sense and blind ignorance) It seemed to me that Juan cannot read a drivers license properly. My drivers license has a notation "Temperory visitor status expires ----", obviously Mr Juan had no clue, so he assumed that my license is expired or something, so he wanted me to complete 6 points address verification like the DMV. I am a Senior engineer with a BS and Maters in Engineering and been in this country for a very long time but i have never heard of someone like a Mr Juan at some dealership doing a DMV 6 points verification just because of a notation on my drivers license which has been my accepted form of identification at even international borders (I go abroad on business very frequently, almost every single month). All this when i bought a new Camry from this same dealership not long ago. The license expiration date is in 2016 so it was a valid Drivers license yet this guy made a big deal about that notation which he has nothing to do with. This guy doesn't even know that even the US government doesn't care about the middle name initial. He rejected my insurance card and work access card for 6 points identification just because it didn't have my middle initial. Juan didn't even have the intellect to consider that my work access card had my picture on it, so a middle initial doesnt even matter (It doesnt matter without even a picture as first and last name is the only important thing), a picture with my first and last name should be enough verification. Episode two: (Everyone has to wait for 10-7 hours at this dealership) Only God knows what this incompetent guy was doing that it took him over 7 hours to get to me. I tried getting Victor to help me, but of no avail, i tried to get Joseph at least 3 times to help me but nothing. And when i got to Juan's so called office for final signatures and complained about 7 hours of wait, he said to me very rudely "There are people here who have been waiting since 9 AM, you came at 12, thats not a problem". Well...if thats what is going to happen to people (wait for 10 hours) and thats the justification, then people shouldnt come to this dealership at all!! Episode three: (Decide on one thing and after exhausting the customer for 7-10 hours, play the final trick) Victor and i decided that they will trade in my 2013 Camry for 19.5K and i wanted to lease a Toyota Highlander. The sales manager Who's name starts with Joseph (Tall big guy) and i decided on a monthly payment amount after a lot of discussion. When after approximately 7 hours and 13 minutes, Mr Juan was ready to review paperwork with me, he started blabbing about things that could help him raise the numbers and after making a case he gave me numbers that were significantly higher than what me, Victor and Joseph decided on. He tried to hide the fact that they changed the value of my 2013 Camry to 18K which i decided with Victor about 6 hours ago to be at 19.5K. And then he gave me a monthly payment number that was significantly higher than what me and Joseph decided on. Every single number was changed to much high number. Moral of the story: Predatory practices like these at greedy dealerships must be stopped. I was aware enough to see the trick they were playing (Or the incompetence of Juan may be) but how many innocent customers got trapped into higher car payments at this dealership, just so that Juan and others can earn their commission and reach their targets? I will be posting this review and more all over the internet and possibly complain to NADA and state of New York. No one apologized for the ordeal my family has to go through, instead they all were acting as if i have committed a crime for refuting the numbers. More
