We felt lied to and tricked. Dreams Stolen This was the worst experience ever. We asked and were refused 3 times a written list of the price and features and they would not give it to us (Buyers Agreement?) We were hung up on twice and our banker hung up on once. We thought we were returning to finally get the quote and instead were tricked into signing over our current vehicle. Once that was done we had to take the deal. Our dream was to tour the US in a trailer and were told our Xterra would tow 5000 pounds no problem. Not told the hitch weight was only 350 and who wants to winter in a canvas tent?? We had other things going on that left us easy pray and we are an older couple and Chris the finance manager did this to us very late in the day. All those things bad things you hear about car salesmen I think this dealership spawned them. ... We love our car, it's the wrong one for us but now we have $600 a month for years and years and our dream has been trashed. There are other Nissan dealers DON'T GO HERE!!!!! More
Terrible experience. Do not buy from them. We traded in a excellent Ford Flex for a Nissan Versa. Love the car and gas mileage. However wish we would've bought it from a more rebuttable dealers We traded in a excellent Ford Flex for a Nissan Versa. Love the car and gas mileage. However wish we would've bought it from a more rebuttable dealership. The car had locking lug nuts yet we were not provided with the key, after several trips to and from the dealership to try and get the correct key , Adam. Aka mr. Smug was a complete jerk. Telling us we should've bought a brand new car and they he didn't have to help us. After more conversation we did get rembursed for the lug nut locks. He also threatened me if I wrote a bad review he would no longer help us figure out this matter, that was their fault in the first place. I would never ever recommend buying from this dealership. Go somewhere that your business is actually appreciated and valued. Hope this helps someone else out from the headache we've had here. I will never ever let someone talk to me as rudely as he did. Sales Department review This reviews is for the used car sales department. They were very friendly, listened to us and did not try to pressure us into anything we didnt want This reviews is for the used car sales department. They were very friendly, listened to us and did not try to pressure us into anything we didnt want to do. I believe the salesman was new so he had his manager Azar help with paperwork and getting our information. They were both nice overall and Azar helped us get into a vehicle that we were comfortable with payment wise without trying to pressure us into something too expensive. I've purchased over twenty car sin my lifetime and empire nissan and the staff are top 3 in my lifetime experience. By the way Jeff the finance guy who used to teach was great also and had us in and out quickly. He did give us a deal on the extended warranty which was helpful. Keep it up guys! More

BUT I have had nothing but terrible experiences with this dealership since purchasing the car. I would say I have had a minimum of 5 bad experiences since 2012. The service department have been terrible to deal with. They are not responsive, have yet to have my car ready when they promised it would be (even for just an OIL CHANGE), rude, expensive, unhelpful, and generally very difficult to do business with. I even went WAY across town one time to another Nissan dealer and had a better experience, but that is just not convenient for me as Empire is very close to my house. I will definitely NOT be keeping this care when the lease is up. AND I will warn anyone who asks me against purchasing a car here especially if they plan to have it serviced here. More
Empire Lakewood Nissan is dishonest and charging customers unfair prices which are apparently negotiable when you call their bluff and trump them with general logic. Had one price worked out. Sign a form not knowing what it was just signing away. Get first bill 100$ higher then we agreed on. That is really bad business. was just signing away. Get first bill 100$ higher then we agreed on. That is really bad business. More
I recently bought a car from this dealership and unfortunately, I have very little good to say. The sales associate, Adam Tapler, was by far the best salesman I have ever seen and I would urge anyone who is looking for a car to come visit this man. But that's about where the good ends with this dealership. The car I bought was a 2007 with 80k miles on it. This was my first time buying a car and unfortunately, I didn't know what I was doing. I was told the car was $15000, and my trade in was worth $500. Later, when I went in to pay for the car, I was told I was given extra for my trade in and the price of the car was lowered to $12600. Later I checked the blue book value, $12500. I brought the car in for a tire pressure sensor and I ended up talking to both Adam and the owner of the dealership. I told him my air conditioner wasn't working and Adam looks me dead in the eye and says "that's bull sh*t I'm not selling you a car that the air conditioner doesn't work in." I talked with Adam and the owner a little more and they agreed to fix the sensor, put in a new plastic piece covering the speedometer, and fix my air conditioning. They have to order some parts so I drive it around for 2 more days and bring it back. That's when my clutch went out. I bring it back in, they have my car for 4 days, and after multiple phone conversations, I ended up with the General Sales Manager, and this is where things get bad. Up to this point I have been very impressed with how the dealership has conducted its business. So the GSM calls me and says you need a new clutch, we will pay half and it will cost you $900, to which I responded "I don't have $900." So he wants to know how much money I do have. I told him $500 and he said ok we will fix your clutch for $500 and you will need to cover the cost of the AC. He said it might be as simple as a switch, but we aren't sure. That night I went to the dealership to discuss that I was a little upset, I talked with both Adam and the New Car Sales Manager and we agreed that I would pay for the part for the clutch, they would cover the labor, and my air conditioner would be fixed and I wouldn't have to pay for it. Another WEEK goes by before I hear from anyone, the news: the clutch will cost me $500 and they want me to pay $600 to fix the air conditioner. At this point, I'm furious. I go in the talk to the owner, I called 10 minutes before I got there to make sure he was there, and he was. I arrive and the owner isn't there. So I talked to the GSM. This is a brief overview of the conversation: I tell him I'm upset about things. He looks at me confused and says, why? To which I responded, I just bought this car and now you want me to pay $1100? He responds with do you have any idea how much money out of my own pocket I have spent? Those repairs would have cost you over $3000 and I am covering all but $500 of it. Plus you needed a brand new flywheel which you burnt out. I said "I had the car for 2 days how could I have done that?" According to him, those parts go out real quick. He then proceeds to tell me that I am taking advantage of him, and he calls me a liar. At this point I said bring me the bill. We are done. So I paid the $500 for the clutch; and the air conditioner, after a week and a half, STILL WASN'T FIXED. The next day I called Adam, who'd been on vacation, and explained how upset I was. He immediately went straight to the owner. They agreed that I would bring the car in, have the AC fixed, and when I had the money, I could pay back the owner $250. When I go to pick up the car, the mechanic says ok it looks like you owe us $250 and the owner is covering the rest. I said did he mention anything about me being able to pay it back? And the guy says nope. And at this point, I just want my car back. I don't have the money but I have a credit card. I am done haggling. Here is a list of a few of the problems with my car and how much they ended up costing me after haggling with the dealership for almost 2 weeks, while my car was in their shop: Clutch: $500, Air Conditioning: $250, alignment: included with purchase, new tires: dealership refused to put them on still haven't gotten any, new heatshield: included with purchase (but they didn't fix the rattling problem and I will need a new exhaust), tire pressure sensor: reset (immediately turned back on when I drove off) needs a brand new sensor, skid plate cracked: still needs to be repaired. Plastic piece covering speedometer, oil gauge and g-force gauge need to be replaced: replaced speedometer, still need oil and g-force replaced. I have driven my car for approximately 2 weeks and already, these are all the problems I have found. I will never return to Empire Nissan and would advise everyone to steer clear, but, in the event that you do visit, please look up Adam Tapler. I honestly believe he did everything in his power to make things right. Unfortunately, he just doesn't have alot of power. More
