On Monday, May 10th, 2021 at approximately 5:00pm, my son and I went in to Empire Lakewood Nissan to purchase a vehicle. When walking into the dealership we were not greeted by any Sales Associates, nor any and I went in to Empire Lakewood Nissan to purchase a vehicle. When walking into the dealership we were not greeted by any Sales Associates, nor anyone else. We proceeded to look around at the vehicles for 15 minutes at the least when we did see 3 salesmen talking and laughing amongst themselves. It was obvious that they had seen us yet still made the choice not to acknowledge the fact that we were there and were in need of assistance. As I walked around I began to wonder if this was social inequality or an economic assumption or maybe this was just the norm for the Dealership. Finally an associate by the name of Amanda Bierman seen that we were in need of assistance and came over to help us. Amanda proved to be kind and turned my impression around as she helped us to purchase a car. She did advise us that we would need to come back in due to the Car Detailers had already left for the day. Completely understandable seeing that the time was later in the day. On Wednesday 5/12/2021 I had went back into the Dealership to get the car detailed. I asked to speak to the manager so I would be able to explain my experience on Monday, voice my concerns and advise how Amanda had helped us. However, after explaining my experience to the General Sales Manager Adam Goad, with no empathy or compassion he asked me and I quote, “Are you going to write a bad review?” I was taken back by his question as that was not my intention to begin with. I was merely wanting to explain what had transpired as I would not want anyone else to have to go through what I did and to feel as though they were not worthy of any assistance. Much to my surprise Adam offered no apology, no acknowledgment of what had happened, but instead had asked me about writing a bad review. Since he had brought it up I did advise that yes, I would be writing a bad review of my experience at the Empire Lakewood Nissan Dealership. At which time Adam started to raise his voice and began yelling at us flailing his hands around. During Adam’s outburst, the Used Car Manager, Phil Grzegorczyk, came to Adam’s side and started yelling at me as well. He stated that if I were to write a bad review that it would hurt Amanda and that they would lose sales. Not only did that happen but they also tried to intimidate me by telling me they were going to rip up my contract and I could no longer purchase the car if I were to write a bad review. They both were threatening to call the police to escort me off the premises. I cannot understand why two grown, adult men, would think that it would be ok to yell at a female and only seem to care about a bad review versus making a customer happy by simply acknowledging what happened, offer an apology and keep a sale. Amanda seeing what had happened during this time had apologized for how they were treating me. I was also then approached by the Finance Officer whom was very apologetic and said he had no idea how this had gotten so far. I was advised that they would take $30 off my monthly payment and give me three years of free oil changes if I still bought the car, however with the stipulation that I could not write a bad review. I chose to keep my dignity. I told them I would like to cancel my transaction and walked away with my head held high. I will not allow anyone to disrespect me. You may keep your quid pro quo. Sincerely an unsatisfied former customer, More

Greedy, rude and selfish sales staff. They do not care about anyone but their commission and bottom line. And one sales guy tried to steal the sale from another. Bad morals. Plenty of other dealers out about anyone but their commission and bottom line. And one sales guy tried to steal the sale from another. Bad morals. Plenty of other dealers out there. There is no customer care after purchase at this dealership. I bought a new car in July and as part of the sale was reassured that the dealership would renew my temp tags until the state sent my pla dealership. I bought a new car in July and as part of the sale was reassured that the dealership would renew my temp tags until the state sent my plates. When I called to ask about coming in for a new temp tag in September I was told by the receptionist that "your issue is with the state have a good day" and was hung up on. When I brought it in for an oil change the next day every person I asked in the service department just shrugged when I raised the issue. I then tracked down Albert who sold me the car and was told "theyre not pulling people over for it so were not issuing new tags". After I got a ticket for expired tags I called the dealership where the receptionist susan was shocked that I had been treated so bad and scolded me for not coming in and going to finance where they do that and going to other departments where its not there job like I was suppossed to know better. But she took my name and number and said the owner would get back to me. Three business days later and denied they'd ever heard from or that they would do any of what they had done. More
