From Connor, to the Sales Manager, to the Finance Manager, we never felt rushed or pressured. We went in knowing exactly what we wanted, a 2024 HYUNDAI VENUE, DENIM EDITION. The process was quick and easy. My wife and I have owned numerous Hyundai vehicles over the years, but this was the BEST buying experience we ever had. We have our cars serviced at the dealership and their Service Department is always professional and courteous. I would highly recommend Empire Hyundai to anyone looking for a great car, a great buying experience and a great service department. Oh, and ask for Connor Lapoint, he's a great salesperson! My daughter’s 2016 Tucson was having engine problems. After calling around, this was the only dealership within 100 miles that did not have at least a month backlog - now I know why. They determined the engine had a catastrophic failure and needed to be replaced for $14k. The car is not worth that much. I emailed back and forth with Donald Devlin, Sales Manager, about what he could give us for the car as is. Knowing what was wrong with the car and having for an over a week to do whatever they wanted to inspect it, he offered $2,500. We agreed on that price, signed the title, and were given a Bill of Sale. This was on a Sunday so we were told to either come back Monday to get a check or they would mail it. As to not drive 50 miles each way, we asked that it be mailed. Monday afternoon we get a phone call that they would not be buying the car and to come get it off their lot less they start charging a $35/day storage fee. No explanation as to why they back out of the deal they made. Fortunately I found a group that not only paid more for the car but showed up to take the car away on time and handed us a check in under 15 minutes. More

Not to happy about what happen with my Car. A year ago I took my car for a diagnostic because it had a check engine light on and the shift was not moving to reverse and other. At the time I could'n do the work save the paper to do it later when the money was available. Made an appointment. for the 26/ Sept./23 but canceled and reschedule for Oct.10. Took the car though that it was going to be fix by the following day my car was return to me Oct 18 with problems that the car didn't have, now Oct 19,2023 the check engine light is back on. Yesterday I call numerous time complaining about noise that my car didn't have before even took it back the noise still there spoke with Frank a very smarty mouth person my husband explain the situation he make fun of my husband replying to fix it again if he fix it before. the problem is also that every time I took my car there the part are not being install to the completion there is always a few screw missing. my husband is also a mechanic and know what he's doing after putting all screw that were missing from a previous job now missing again and part lose under the car. The excuse that they didn't work under the car but if you're working with the shift of the car that is under the car.I would like my issue to be resolve I din't pay $1,412.89 for the check engine to be on again.Also Would not take my car here again, customer are priority and they're always right. AVOID THIS BUSINESS! When I asked the salesman named Brandon Rodriguez what they would give me for my old car his initial offer was $500. I told him that’s what I got for my last trade at Empire Hyundai, which had a seized engine and didn’t run. My current car that I wanted to trade was still very much operational and I asked $1,000. He left the room to speak to his supervisor, I believe a man named DJ, and came back with an offer of $700 and I agreed. However, when I showed up to finish the transaction and pick up my new car they lowered their offer to $500 without disclosing it to me, and AFTER they had already performed a hard check on my credit and submitted my financing paperwork to the Capital One bank. I asked Brandon why they weren’t giving me the price we’d agreed to and he denied that he had promised me the $700 offer, claiming to have told me that he would need to get that approved from his supervisor. This was completely false. As I mentioned, when he made me the $700 offer he had already left the room beforehand to do just that. When confronted with this, Brandon became very defensive and angry, even going so far as to raise his voice a bit. The entire conversation was also peppered with Brandon’s knee jerk response of threatening to sell the car to someone else or even send it to auction if I didn’t go along. They also tried to make me buy additional products such as protection plans. Despite quoting me a monthly payment of $450, these would mean at least an additional $30/mo, $3,000 total to the purchase price over the life of the note. They claimed their policy dictated I had to do so or pay a higher interest rate. My response was that all of this should have been disclosed in the initial discussion, where I had asked Brandon point blank if there would be any additional fees or charges besides the price of the car and the doc fee. His answer to this had been a definitive NO. They also never returned my $100 deposit as promised. More
