He took me outside to see the cars. He was so polite and helpful that I bought the first car I sat in. Today, I picked it up. Yrad sat with me inside the car and explained everything. He even loaded my contacts into the car. The three made my purchase extremely easy even though I was very nervous. I would send all friends and family to Empire. More

As someone with car restlessness I often find myself at car dealers looking for my next car. Fortunately, after buying/leasing over a dozen cars in my life I’ve never understood the negative stigma that su car dealers looking for my next car. Fortunately, after buying/leasing over a dozen cars in my life I’ve never understood the negative stigma that surrounds car dealers. Unfortunately, Empire Chevrolet of Hicksville wiped out 16 years of positive experiences. We decided to get a GMC Yukon but after months of shopping could only find an “XL” available which my wife felt was too long for her. We (thought) we fell on good fortune when we found out Empire Chevrolet of Hicksville had a Chevy Tahoe available which has the same wheelbase as the Yukon. After looking at the Yukon XL one last time we went to see the Tahoe and it was exactly what we wanted. The buying experience took a turn when I met with Jessica Rodriguez in Finance. I should have known something was awry when Jessica started the conversation bragging about how she got me a better interest rate than the 10% Chase offered. I should have sensed she was a phony when she called me darling every chance she had. Jessica told me the best interest rate available was with GM Financial at 8.3%. When I asked Jessica why GMC quoted me 6.3% via a Credit Union she said that her dealership doesn’t offer that. I’ve come to learn that was a lie. I’ve come to learn, from a friend at GMC, that the dealerships get a better rebate when they finance through GM. Jessica also told me I could easily refinance after 6 monthly payments. That was also a lie - I can refinance whenever I like, their incentives kick in after 6 months. Jessica lied to me, costing me thousands over the term of my loan, so that the dealership could get a few bucks and a gold star from the manufacturer. I’m usually a level minded person but Jessica caught me at a moment of weakness. She knew my wife and I were pregnant and expecting THAT NIGHT and that I was going from the dealer to the hospital. Subconsciously I also felt trapped knowing about the ongoing manufacturing strikes and felt I would never get a safe car for my wife and newborn if I walked away then. When the dealership followed up a week later I shared my displeasure with what happened. The sales person acted shocked and said he would speak to the manager and have him call me. I told him I was already working on refinancing on my own and that I wouldn’t respond to their survey (the dealership also gets incentivized for postive survey results) if they told me disciplinary action was taken against Jessica. The salesperson assured me he would speak to the manager and have him call me. Two weeks later I have yet to hear from the salesman or the manager which tells me Jessica was likely following orders. Shame on you Jessica for screwing another human and knowingly costing them thousands of dollars for little personal gain. Shame on you Empire Chevrolet of Hicksville for training your employees to do what is best for the dealership regardless of cost. More

UPDATE on this awful experience. - as of Friday 3/31/23 not one representative attempted to call, leave a message or email in regards to this unprofessionalism. Clearly their rep - as of Friday 3/31/23 not one representative attempted to call, leave a message or email in regards to this unprofessionalism. Clearly their reputation stands. Today Sunday April 2nd the Chevy of Hicksville STILL had not released my plates after signing a form on 3/31/23 with signatures saying the deal did NOT go through and I requested my deposit back. They WITHHELD my plates so I could not purchase a new vehicle which should have been released immediately at the cease of sale on 3/31/23. They had ALL day Saturday to also do this. Today Sunday 4/2/23 they claimed NO ONE was in store to release my plates and that I would have to wait until tomorrow….. So buyers beware now you know apparently you cannot buy cars at this location on sundays and go home with it….….. is what I was told. So why would anyone want to go here???? Or was this a fabrication? Unfortunately as stated no one has tried to reach out to my husband or I in regards to this and their reviews will STAND. To further tarnish their reputation when the new dealership was calling empire to get my plate release they also lied to them. Not until I had to involve legal and basically have Nassau county police dept involved did someone magically “release” my plates within FIVE minutes of me stating legal action would take place, with proof of my termination of sale…… so….. wait you could release my plates???? Nail in the coffin. I’ll still wait for a call More

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE. We leased a Chevy Traverse from this dealership. After a few months, car would no longer start. Brought to service, brought back said it was fixed. 2 We leased a Chevy Traverse from this dealership. After a few months, car would no longer start. Brought to service, brought back said it was fixed. 24 hours later, wouldn’t start again, and has been sitting in my driveway for weeks. Still paying our bill. We understand supply chain issues and time to get the part, but we have received ZERO customer service from either this dealership or General Motors. Asked for a loaner car and we’re told to go rent a car to be reimbursed, so money out of our pocket …. For how long? They don’t know when they will get the part. Call GM corporate, they shift you to the dealer. The dealers customer service says we can make a claim when it gets escalated to parts, whatever that means. Now we will need to get an attorney and file a Lemon Law case. I have ZERO faith in this dealership, the people there (lied to us numerous times), or with General Motors Corporate.I always loved being a “Chevy Guy”, but this experience has me getting a Ford next.
