It was supposed to be a fix of a recall but at some point the grill was damaged and now needs to be replaced before the recall can be fixed. I have only taken my Sierra to GM certified shops and only to one the grill was damaged and now needs to be replaced before the recall can be fixed. I have only taken my Sierra to GM certified shops and only to one other location which was for a software update and oil change so I’d doubt they did anything to the grill. I use this truck to make money via renting it out and I cannot re-list it until the recall is fixed. As a result I’m loosing hundreds of dollars each week. When I took it in for the recall remedy I was told it couldn’t be completed and I’d have to wait till the new grill was installed. I was told it would arrive the following week. Although upset I accepted it and waited till the following week. I was never contacted so at the end of that following week I reached out and I was told there is no eta available for the grill. I don’t understand how I went from being told it would arrive the following week to now it has no ETA available at all. Now I’m loosing thousands of dollars over this and I haven’t received an update in almost 2 weeks. Even when I have received one it was after I’d inquired via text. I haven’t been contacted once without reaching out to get an update first. I haven’t been given a time frame or any idea of when it will arrive and I just don’t think any of this is acceptable. Especially since it could only have been damaged by a mechanic who’s worked on it. I’m not sure if a camera can see that a peg was broken when put back together at a previous service, but if it had to be taken off before for any reason, then that explains why it’s damaged. Nobody is explaining or taking responsibility and now I’m out thousands of dollars with no end in sight. I’m never buying a GM vehicle again and I recommend driving the extra distance to find another shop with people who will be more forthcoming and transparent. More
