I serviced my Hyundai Santa Fe twice at this dealership. I am happy with the service quality I have received. The customer service is friendly and professional. Their service department is absolutely horrible. They are rude and they lie right to your face. I have to get an oil consumption test because my car A 2017 Sonata is burning oil and BOTH times they They are rude and they lie right to your face. I have to get an oil consumption test because my car A 2017 Sonata is burning oil and BOTH times they said they had to jump my car because the battery is dead. There is nothing wrong with my battery. They have had to add over a quart of oil every 1,000 miles and they say there is nothing wrong the car. They say it is well within the industry standards that it burns that much oil in a month I have been “helped” by Erica. (Very rude and condescending). Be aware and look at reviews of the people handling your vehicle. I only brought it here for convenience, and I made a HUGE mistake. Elyria Hyundai service department is horrible. More
Incompetent, Rude, and Dishonest Service!! Stay away from this dealership! They misdiagnosed my car twice which cost more than $1200. Gave them the car to repair a third time, and they had it for 4.5 from this dealership! They misdiagnosed my car twice which cost more than $1200. As of today, 11/5/2020 they have had possession of the car for repairs since 10/22/2020, still not repaired. They do not call to offer updates and when I call to find out what is happening, they are defensive and rude. They have NO CLUE about customer service . I called the General Manager to send him a copy of my issues and he is obviously not interested since he has not called me back. Stay away from these people!!! More

Five times they claimed the car was fixed, and all they did was continue to break things! 2015 Genesis Ultimate - They had all the alarms going off! Once they stole everything out of the car and refused to reimburse me because there was an ultra-small print disclaimer saying they weren't responsible for anything left in the car on the back of the service order! Ganley finally fixed most of it, but Hyundai said that Elyria Hyundai should pay to fix the rest - but they refused! Now I have mystery extra parts! STAY FAR, FAR AWAY!!! More

In 2017 my alternator was dying and this dealer was the closest and quickest available fix. They did it for more than what a local mechanic would but it was fixed. They then tried to tell me my battery was completely dead and needed to be replaced otherwise I would need to jump it every time I wanted to start my car. I knew this was a lie because I purchased the battery not too long before this. Nevertheless I went a year and a half without having to jump it. Last month I took it in for an oil change. I had an oil leak that they said was the worst the mechanic has ever seen and they quoted me $1400 to fix with the recommendation of another $200 to replace the timing chain while that was getting repaired. I declined and took it to my mechanic and got the leak fixed for $900 and he said it wasn’t that bad just a time consuming to fix. My mechanic laughed when they suggested to do the timing chain as it didn’t need to be replaced and should only be replaced if it completely fails which then the engine won’t run but it was running perfectly with no noise. I took the car in today to get appraised to sell and claimed because I declined “2 grand” in repairs at their shop the last time I was there they wouldn’t buy it even though everything is fixed and running perfectly. I have yet to hear from the service manager about the recent situation but doubt I will from reading other reviews. I would expect their sales department to be just as shady. I just bought a 2018 Genesis and won’t even consider having them touch it even if it is the closest dealership to me. Be very careful if you go there and I would suggest finding a good local mechanic that does everything cheaper or even try another dealer for service. More

So this dealer ship couldn't have gave me a phone call to let me know that the car was pending? So the. The most disrespectful thing they could have done is they were like oh here's a 2017 you can lease that's out of your price range and we will lower your payments at that's point I walked away in tears how frustrated I was didn't solve my problem wasted my time and didn't even make it write with me never again More
