Elantra I recently purchased a new Elantra. I knew what I was looking for so it came down to choosing the right dealership. The other dealerships have me a ru I recently purchased a new Elantra. When I came to Elyria Hyundai I felt like Adam was the right salesman to go with. He didn't play games with the pricing or give me a run around. He didn't waste my time and he was honest. He was great to work with and I have already told friends and family to go to him when they are looking to get a car. More

First, as in any dealership, they want to extract as much money our of your pocket as possible but at Elyria Hyundai, it is an artform to the highest order. The financial pain is not realized until you pay the bill for the Service Department only to realize that work you paid for was NOT performed. Then, the next tactic of the Service Department is to charge you again for some other ficticous service which is a 'cover,' for going back and re-repairing the initial problem. Then, and here's the best part: the General Manager, Roy Chaplic....what a peice of work this guy is, will do one of two things--either give a false sense of assurance that everything will be alright or berate you or play "Bad Cop," when you start demanding service you ALREADY PAID FOR. Disappointing Delivery I was disappointed in the delivery of the vehicle: 1) I still had removable plastic in three places inside the vehicle and the windows were dirty. Wh I was disappointed in the delivery of the vehicle: 1) I still had removable plastic in three places inside the vehicle and the windows were dirty. Who knows what else they didn't do to properly prepare the car for delivery. 2) I was asked to come in early for financing because they had double booked me. I changed my schedule and when I got to the dealership had to wait 45 minutes before getting into the finance office. There wasn't anyone in being financed. Apparently, there was a problem with my paperwork but they just let me sit there and wonder what was going on. No communication unless I got up and asked what was going on. I was ignored so much I felt like I was in a doctor’s office. 3) When I finally got home my wife was looking at the paperwork and noticed they made a mistake in my lease. I had agreed to 15,000 miles and they had 10,000 on the lease agreement. I called my salesman immediately and he said he would investigate and, after we set up a time for me to come back in, he said he'd call me back. He didn't call back when he said he would and after a couple of days I called him. He said there was a problem with the lease and that my price would increase. I said it’s not what we agreed to and he said he'd have to get with his manager and figure it out and that he would call me back. Because his manager wasn't in we had to reschedule my resigning the paperwork to the next week. I confirmed that he would call be back because he hadn't before and he assured me he would. He didn't. I tried to get a hold of the sales manager and wasn't able to. I became quite aggravated and concerned that they were going to stick me with the 10,000 miles instead of what we agree upon. I went into the dealership and was finally able to get my lease resigned. 4) As part of my deal there was a trade in of a car that was not operable. My salesman said someone would be dispatched from the dealership to tow the car from my driveway. I asked him again about it in one of our other calls and he said that he forgot and that he'd get someone on it. Well, that didn't happen either and I had to call a sales manager about it after having the car for 2 weeks. He was not aware of the agreement. (You've got to be kidding me!!!). He's supposedly getting together with the general manager and the salesman tomorrow to resolve this. I'm not holding my breath. 5) We leased 2 vehicles at this time, one for me and one for my wife. In my wife’s car the owner’s manual was missing and the car windows were not cleaned. What a poor, exhausting and frustrating experience. How could I tell my friends, family or anyone to go to Elyria Hyundai to buy a vehicle? Who is minding the store??? I love the car but am very disappointed in the delivery process and my salesman. More

Terrible customer service They are all about the commission. They rush you out the door and never return your phone calls when you have problems with your brand new car.
