Buying a Car This is the first time in a long time I have gone into a dealership to purchase a car. I had done business exclusively with one dealership from 1973 through 2009. However, since purchasing my last car in 2009 the dealership has retired and gone out of business leaving me wondering where to go. A friend, Morgan Chirico, started working at Elmwood Dodge recently and when she heard I needed a new car asked me to come to Elmwood Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. She had me speak with her boss Samantha Samagaio who said 'when you come in let me know'. On Saturday I went on line to see what used cars I might think about, and found a good looking 2017 Dodge Journey. Later that day, I stopped at Elmwood Dodge and asked if Samantha Samagaio was there, she came downstairs and introduced herself and we spoke for a bit. I told her what I had seen on line and that I just stopped by to see it. Sam introduced me to Richie Ruggiero...We talked for a while and I told him about the Dodge Journey I had seen on line, and told him I thought I was looking for a SUV. He showed me some new models, some late model Jeeps, and we discussed leasing vs buying, used vs new, sedan vs SUV. As we were walking back into the dealership I turned around and there was the Dodge Journey... It had just come back from a test drive. I looked it over - liked what I saw and Richie told me he would let me know if it had been sold. As I was driving home, Richie called and let me know it was still available... I called Monday and let Richie know I was very interested and asked if I would be able to take it for a ride on Tuesday and have my mechanic look it over. He said that wasn't a problem. So today, Tuesday, I went in at 10:30 am, took the car for a ride and to my mechanic who did a thorough look over and gave me the thumbs up! Went back to Elmwood and told Richie I wanted the Dodge Journey. I told Richie what I could afford walking out the door... Thanks to Benamino Sciarcon the numbers came together and we had a deal going. I had to get back to work but before I left I had the pleasure of meeting with Noel Tavarez. We started the financing paperwork and I went back to work promising to be back as soon as I got out of work at 4:30. I got back to the Elmwood Dodge and completed the paperwork with Noel, he kept the payments within my budget even when I wanted to add the price of a remote starter and extended warranty.. Richie took my lease car and gassed it up so I could just drop it off across the street, went with me to drop it off then drove me back to finish up everything. Everyone was helpful, happy doing their respective jobs and made this experience a GREAT one!!! I got into my new to me Dodge Journey and came home! The car will be going beck to Elmwood to have a remote starter put in and I cannot wait to go in and visit with all the new friends I have made this week! I have to say the reason I came to Elmwood Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is because Morgan Chirico is working there and asked me to come in... and the rest is history. "No Pressure" This was my first experience with Elmwood Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (Elmwood CDJR). I learned of them through searching for a one year old Ram 1500 La This was my first experience with Elmwood Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (Elmwood CDJR). I learned of them through searching for a one year old Ram 1500 Laramie that I found on Cars.com. I was very apprehensive at first, considering the car buying process has changed dramatically since my last purchase. I tried a different approach and emailed the dealership and reached Samantha Samagaio their Internet Sales Manager. She was able to confirm that the truck I was interested in was still there. I sent her an email reply with all I had to offer and she was able to reassure me and confirm through her manager that the vehicle was still there and that my expectations were “dooable”. Our conversation eventually moved to text messages per my request, where she was vigilant and motivated. She answered all my text questions, and responded almost immediately. Ms. Samagio and her 5 star customer service had already sealed this deal. Next I visited the dealership where I got to meet Ms. Samagio, who was just as pleasant in person as she was online and via text. She then introduced me to Al Torres (Sales & Leasing Consultant) who seamlessly picked up where she left off. A couple of visits back and forth to Mark Waters (Sales Manager) and all my requests were met. Over to financing I went. Al Torres then introduced me to Vincent Asermely who is Elmwood CDJR’s Business Manager who is the person that runs all the numbers. His level of customer service was in line with everyone else’s. He assured me of the financing, took the time to explain things to me, and even reassured me that the truck I was purchasing was already listed 2000 under its original value. I took a different approach, an approach that let me do things at my pace and pressure free. I paid asking price for this truck and all involved worked with me and for me. I was in and out of the dealership within an hour. This place is to me is five star, this place is motivated and professional and willing to work with you at your convenience. If you come in knowing what you want you will surely leave a happy consumer. More
