We buy MANY cars and have dealt with many dealers over the years and I can not say enough GOOD about this service dept. Not one time have I had a complaint that they have not addressed and without question. Not to leave out the sales dept. They too were a pleasure to work with. When you leave a dealer feeling stress free and happy with the deal you have made, then you have found a good dealer. Our vehicles are under factory warranty and we could choice a dealer closer to us however we chose to drive the hour because of Elkins Chevrolet Service Department. More
Let me start by saying that before i went to Elkins Chevrolet, i had my mind made up that i would be buying a Honda Accord. The only reason that I ended up at Elkins Chevrolet was chance. From start to finish, however, the experience at Elkins Chevrolet was FANTASTIC! Within moments of pulling up at the dealership, I was greeted by Phil Reale. Phil from the get go was polite, genuine, and calm. I explained to him that i was interested in a Camaro but i was concerned that, because of a back injury, I wouldn't be able to drive it comfortably (like most cars in its class). Phil understood my concerns and recommended that I drive the vehicle to determine if it was even an avenue worth pursuing. Phil and I then went on the test drive, which i must say, was very enjoyable. Every other time that i have test driven a car i hear the salesman trying to sell the car. With this test drive, Phil allowed the car to do the work. What i enjoyed most about the experience to this point was that Phil hadn't tried to over-assure me that the car would be comfortable, he let the car do the work. This was such a stand out for me because I did not feel pushed at all through out my entire experience with Elkins Chevrolet. When it came to talk numbers, Elkins Chevrolet worked with my family to make something happen. Joe Capra was nothing but sincere and understanding during the entire negotiation. Once we agreed to buy the car, the problem of locating the vehicle arose. I have no complaints with this either. Within one week, Joe and Bob located the car that would be the Camaro that i am currently driving. My experience at Elkins Chevrolet was without a doubt the SINGLE best car buying experience of my life. Randy Dumas and his manager Bob were very helpful. They got us the Equinox we wanted from another dealer. When we picked up the car all of the paperwork was done and the transaction was very fast. Phil went out of his way to accommodate us and we were very happy to leave the dealership with a 2012 Equinox. Nick in Finance was just as professional, helpful and friendly and was able to obtain a lower interest rate for us than we anticipated. Both Phil and Nick went out of their way to ensure we were satisfied and both stayed well after hours to complete the purchase. They even went out of their way to help us unload items from our trade in to the new Equinox. All in all, the experience was absolutely great. THIS REVIEW COMBINES MY SECOND REVIEW WHICH POSTED WITH MY FIRST REVIEW WHICH DID NOT POST (probably my handling). A Chevy Equinox was in my top 4 manufacturer SUVs for possible purchase. I had hoped to fit a 2011 end of the year model into my limited budget. After having many features of the Equinox demonstrated to me by Jeff and Randy and taking it for a test drive during an initial late evening visit that went beyond closing, Joe and Bob contacted me with a negotiable offer on a 2012 Equinox 1LT. During a short 2-1/2 hour second visit, Joe, Bob, Randy, Nick and I were able to reach a WIN-WIN agreement. The second visit included additional features demo, detailed explanations, insurance and car change transactions, and very competitive financing. MY HIGH EXPECTATIONS WERE TRULY EXCEEDED. Elkins Chevrolet is a really professional dealership which seeks to exceed Customer Expectations and THEY DID. As I did with an earlier 1998 TOYOTA Camry purchase which I held for seven years (purchased in Vineland about 29 miles from my house, not from Toyota dealers much closer), I will express my loyalty to Elkins Chevrolet for reaching a deal with me by bringing my car back to them for scheduled maintenance. Buy at Elkins Chevrolet. they know how to work effectively with you! The reason for my second review was to note additional service provided by Nick M related to the Extended Warranty on my trade-in. When I tried to cancel this warranty from home, the warranty holder suggested I contact the car dealership and have him cancel the warranty on my behalf. When I called Nick, he was extremely familar with the process and just asked for my warranty contract number and said he would handle the rest. In less than 10 minutes, Nick called me back; he let me know that the warranty was cancelled and that I would be getting my pro-rated refund check back in about one week. When he told me the amount I was pleasantly surprised. The professionalism, expertise and Customer focus here at Elkins Chevrolet are impressive. I think we can all agree buying a new car or truck is stressful. We dont want to be taken advantage of and we know the dealer has the upper hand. The first place I went to Pelligreno did not like this and gave me the run around on why they needed to run my credit. They were down right rude. I went to Elkins and met Skip, who from the start was up front with me. I showed him the price Pelligreno gave me on a Silverado. Skip spoke with his sales manager and offered me the same deal on a better truck with a great rate. They took my word that I had good credit and did not push the issue to run it. I had the best car buying experience with Elkins. They gave me a great deal on a great truck! More
