I legitimately had an incredible car-buying experience with the entire Elkins Chevrolet team! And yes, that is a sentence I never envisioned myself writing. It had been about 10 years since I bought my with the entire Elkins Chevrolet team! And yes, that is a sentence I never envisioned myself writing. It had been about 10 years since I bought my last car, so I honestly wasn't sure what to expect. But, as soon as I walked in the door, I was greeted very calmly and casually. There was none of that "car salesman" pressure I was expecting. I had done my research on the exact car I wanted, set up an appointment the night before, and was in and out of the dealership with a brand new Equinox EV in under a couple hours. Considering all of the paperwork that had to be done (for the new car I was buying and the trade-in they were taking) and the fact I had to run out and get a bank check, that timeline is pretty impressive! I worked with JT Lalena for much of the transaction, and he was great! Again, he was very chill, gave me space when I wanted to check out the car myself, and then was there for support with actually making the plunge. The whole team was great! This might be weird to say, but I actually felt like a person and not just something that was going to help them hit their quota. I would absolutely buy a car there again! More

It was a smooth transaction. Jesse was an awesome salesman and steered us clear of cars that would not have been a good fit for our needs. We felt no pressure whatsoever. If my transaction with Elkins ended there, I would have would have rated Elkins a 6 out of 5. The financial process was where I was left with a sour taste. I was provisionally approved at one percentage from a Credit Union but went with financing Elkins uses because even though it was higher, it was competitive (within .5%) and removed the hassle of going between the two. I was, however, unhappy to find out in the Financing Office that my rate would increase to almost another .5% higher than that when signing up for other protection. I wish it had been clearer earlier in the negotiation so I could have decided to go with my original financing and not feel stuck at the end. I had a monthly budgeted amount, and I thought I was sticking to it but became dejected that I would be unable to. More
