After earnest but unsuccsessful attempts to get an order going for a 2013 TDI Jetta SportWagen from my local dealer and then a Bay area dealer I tried Elk Grove VW. It seems that special orders from VW are going for a 2013 TDI Jetta SportWagen from my local dealer and then a Bay area dealer I tried Elk Grove VW. It seems that special orders from VW are not an easy process now and some dealers are not inclined to be helpful. However, Bruce Peterson of Elk Grove was courteous and willing to get the order processed. Bruce and his associates were friendly and kept me informed with updates on the building and shipping schedule. The car came earlier than the estimated delivery time. After the car arrived at the dealer they prepared it in one day and I drove it away that night. They sold the car to me at a less than “invoice” price which was generous because with the high demand for this model they could probably ask and get more for it. Howard helped me find and understand the car control systems. He was able to answer any questions I had and he was technically knowledgeable about the cars he sells which in my experience is a rare thing these days. More

It all started with a genuine and friendly "hello" from Ray Haskins who in my opinion is one of the finest and kindest sales associates I've ever had the pleasure to work with. I say work with because from the get go. Ray was interested in meeting our needs and not just selling us a car. I'm no fool... I've trained hundreds of people in the sales business and I know quality when I experience it. I've walked away from a few dealerships because of their poor attitude and or service. You will never get that at Elk Grove Volkswagen. Ray is a professional, and I'm serious when I say he is the best yet... It was really enjoyable to buy a car from Elk Grove Volkswagen, Ray was a large part of the reason for that. The other thing that impressed me with Elk Grove VW is that the people there are genuine and happy and seem to work well together nearly like family.. Perhaps better than family. There was no pressure just honest and open communication to make the deal work for us and for the dealership. I was very impressed with Dwane Gaines who is the sales manager. Our deal went to him for approval. There were no hassels or issues Dwane made it easy for us to choose the deal that we made on our new Golf TDI. Good for us and for the dealership. I walked away knowing it was a Win Win.. Although I truly think I got the better side of the win.. but that is Elk Grove VW they are Customer Focused. Thanks Dwane... Ed Carillo, was our finance guy... he walked us through the paperwork and some options. He was low key and looking out for our best interest. Like all the team there at Elk Grove VW they are professionals doing a great job for the customer. Putting the customer first. How refreshing! Lastly if this sounds like a canned review.. it's not. I'm in my mid 50's buying my first NEW car... not including the new one for my lovely wife earlier in the year. Life has been busy raising kids and paying for a house etc... this was prob. the 2nd biggest purchase I've ever made. I don't spend money easily..
