My June 22, 2024 visit to the Elk Grove Toyota service center was awful. I took my 2013 Highlander in for the standard service in May. Right after I went home, the 84 month warrantee battery that I purcha center was awful. I took my 2013 Highlander in for the standard service in May. Right after I went home, the 84 month warrantee battery that I purchased from Toyota at the end of 2019, could not hold a charge overnight. It needed a jump every morning. Three weeks later, I decided to take the battery out to get it replaced, driving there with my wife's car. EG Service people told me I can only get a prorated 25% off, which is fine. But they would not give me the discount unless I take the battery home, install it, jump start my car, and drive it in so they can verify the vin number of my car? I have the battery there and they have it in their system when I purchased. Why do I need to go through hoops to get a 25% discount on a $250 battery that I had warrantee on? Why cant they test the battery there. I left disappointed and ended up getting a new battery at O'rielly Auto Parts. My car works fine now and Elk Grove Toyota service center just lost a customer since 2013. More

I had an appointment for an oil change. Arrived 10 minutes early and was seen by an advisor about 15 minutes later. Everything was fine, oil change done within 1.5 hours. I paid, got my keys, arrived at my car, I noticed black marks all over my front bumper. My advisor offered a free car wash, my car was clean but my bumper had black scuff marks all over. I asked one of the employees if they can clean that part off but he replied he couldn’t help me and told me to go ask my advisor. My advisor was no longer at his desk I told him. He then told me to hold on for a bit. I had already buckled my toddler in her car seat so we were just waiting in the car. He comes back and tells me to head over to the major maintenance building and tell them the supervisor melton sent me over to get my car cleaned. No one came out to help, I waited for about 10 minutes. My daughter was getting cranky so I just left and went home and cleaned up after Toyotas mess of a car wash. Elk Grove Toyota is my go-to spot but this experience wasn’t great. More

The service representative moves like pace of a snail. They are definitely not in any hurry. They make you wait and wait. When they walk out they have absolutely zero motivation. They walk extremely slow as if they have a stomachache. Years ago at the mail service area, the male workers are fast, motivated, eager, and driven willing to assist you and get you in and out. Now the less experience service representative can care less if you wait or leave. They have no incentive and no desire to work fast or work hard. More
