I have given Elk Grove Toyota a rating of "5" across the board because of their friendliness, effciency and thouroughness. Jeremy, our salesperson, was a pleasure to work with. I negotiated the across the board because of their friendliness, effciency and thouroughness. Jeremy, our salesperson, was a pleasure to work with. I negotiated the price of my vehicle over the telephone with him. when I arrived at Elk Grove Toyota to pick up the car it was just a matter of taking care of the paperwork. The closer, Lee, was friendly and efficient. He explaned all of the options to us (extended warranty, etc.) but did not pressure us in any way. Lisa was very thorough in going over the different features and operations of our new car. I will be more than happy to recommend Elk Grove Toyota to anyone looking for a dealership that is straightforward, friendly and honest. More
We have searched around for Toyota Highlander 2012 for more than couple months. I called and got several written quotes all over the Bay area where we reside and work. We even called Southern California d more than couple months. I called and got several written quotes all over the Bay area where we reside and work. We even called Southern California dealerships to get quotes as well. Eventually, we landed at Elk Grove Toyota--and we are happy. We could have gone to ELK GROVE Toyota at the beginning to save our time. The person I dealed with is Jeremy Coffelt. He knows what you need, answer your questions directly and efficiently. There is no sale pressure whatsoever--very profesional. He built the Highlander for us and let us know approximate TIme of arrival (WITHOUT ASKING FOR DEPOSIT !) and his price beats ALL QUOTES across California---I swear to Gods--I have at least 7-8 quotes, non of them not even close to his price ! I do not know how could he do it and what is behind the scene, but it is the true. I save at least $1K-$1.5K and it worths our 2-hour drive from San Jose to Elk Grove. That is the only negative thing I see-the dealer location is too far away from Bay Area, but hey--I saved 1.5K for 4 hour drive, not bad. Again do not waste your time to search around (as I did !)..just call Jeremy at 916-405-8000. It is the first time I deal with Jeremy, but for sure I will spread out the news for my friends here--if they want to buy Toyota and willing to drive up there to save $ and getting good car buying experience. I abhor the retail car-buying experience and only want to deal with fleet/internet sales managers who will give me a competitive price offer and let me make the decision. I purchased my previous car through deal with fleet/internet sales managers who will give me a competitive price offer and let me make the decision. I purchased my previous car through a fleet manager, and the experience was fantastic. After a few emails back and forth with 8 dealers in our area, it was clear that Jeremy was going to give us the best car-buying experience (along with the best price). Jeremy exemplified exactly what a fleet purchasing experience should be like. Clear, communicative, and straight-forward, along with beating the closest competition by $500 even though he had to trade cars with a Bay Area dealer to get us the color we wanted- Jeremy made it happen. I can't recommend him enough. Lee helped us through the final paperwork, and of course the optional add-ons (the extended warranties, sealant, GPS tracking). When we were clear that we weren't interested in these things, he did drop the price a little on the extended warranty and tell us to let us know if we change our mind in the next few days. It was absolutely worth the drive from Roseville to Elk Grove to work with Jeremy to get great service and a fantastic price on our new Sienna. More
My wife and I stopped in on our way to Sacramento to visit a sick relative from our home in Ceres to check out a new 4Runner Trail Edition that showed up in new inventory on Elk Grove Toyota's web site. visit a sick relative from our home in Ceres to check out a new 4Runner Trail Edition that showed up in new inventory on Elk Grove Toyota's web site. I had been looking for the elusive Trail Edition at dealers all around the valley and bay area for weeks. The salesman Karl Bains was courteous and helpful, not pushy at all. We test drove the vehicle but did not have time to buy it at that time. We came back around 4 in the afternoon and bought the vehicle. Now I must say that due to past experience with other dealers my wife was dreading the sales process, but much to our surprise, at Elk Grove Toyota it was painless, we got a fair price on the vehicle with out the usual back and forth to the sales manager, and were treated with respect at all times. The finance dept person Debbie Jaynes was equally courteous and helpful. I had planned to have to buy an extended warranty online or elsewhere, but she made it worth it just to get it right there. On 08/20/11 I had new brakes installed on my 2001 Toyota Highlander. Shortly after, when I had the window open I noticed a loud rattling whenever noise coming from the front wheels when I drove over a pot h Highlander. Shortly after, when I had the window open I noticed a loud rattling whenever noise coming from the front wheels when I drove over a pot hole or was on a bumpy surface. On 03/07/12 I called and spoke to Fred Daniels and explained the noise and added that I felt that the problem was either loose calipers or lack of shims or clips on the front brakes being installed after the brake job. He agreed and I dropped my Highlander off that evening. On 03/08/12 Fred called and informed me that none of the technician's could hear the noise. After the third call with Fred consistently telling me that the technician's couldn't hear anything, I stated that I would return to the dealership and take a technician out on a drive. At that point, the problem still was not resolved, but that didn't stop Fred from attempting to talk me into purchasing a timing belt. I responded that I would prefer to deal with one problem at a time and that I knew that a belt and water pump is recommended for vehicles near 100,000 miles. The technician was incredible, we went down a bumpy road and he heard it immediately and added that the advisor had never told him that the sound was only detected over bumps or on rough roads. When we returned, Fred was determined that the problem must be due to heat shields, the technician and I both disagreed and the technician replied that they really needed to get it on a lift and examine the brakes thoroughly before they'd know for sure. Again, the technician handled that situation flawlessly compared to the way Fred was. I was unable to leave the vehicle there for additional examination because Fred was off on Friday, So I took the vehicle home and returned it to the dealership on Sunday 03/11/12. Fred called on Monday afternoon and said that the problem was now resolved, I asked what had been done to fix the issue and he replied that they had to install shims on both front wheels. But now he said that the check engine light was on and asked if I wanted them to hook it up to find out what the problem was, I replied that I didn't because I knew it was one of two things, either a loose negative connection on the battery terminal or the gas cap (the vehicle was extremely low on fuel). Fred proceeded to inform me (in a very condescending manner) that neither of those things would cause the check engine light to come on and that I should have it checked. I again said no and he proceeded to become curt and informed me that "my vehicle was done and I could come pick it up" and hung up. When my son and I arrived to pick it up that afternoon, we proceeded into Fred's office, he promptly informed me that my service documents were already at the front desk, turned around and walked away. Both my son and I were stood in his office and were stunned. We signed the necessary forms, were given our keys by the very friendly office staff and we left. I proceeded to the gas station, fueled the vehicle and started it and guess what, the check engine light was gone. Our family has been bringing our vehicles up to this dealership for a number of years, and never have we been treated so unprofessionally. I seriously doubt that we will ever bring our vehicles back to this dealership again, nor would I ever consider recommending the service department to anyone. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a dealership and will not soon forget it. More

This dealership was the most organized, helpful and cooperative I have ever been too. They made the process of buying a new vehicle painless. I would recommend them highly. Elk Grove Toyota's Service Dept has lost my trust. First a spark plug blew out of the engine because it was not tightened, next they improperly installed a calalytic converted, and now a week or so ago they a spark plug blew out of the engine because it was not tightened, next they improperly installed a calalytic converted, and now a week or so ago they diagnosed a misfire in one cylinder and said that it could cost $1,200 to open up the engine to find out and indicated it could cost more depending on what they found. I was alarmed and contacted my brother who is a mechanic to look at it. It only took him about 20 minutes to find that it was simple bad spark plug -- that is all. I've been a loyal customer since 1996 when I first purchased my 4runner. But I will not be going back to elk grove toyota. More
