I drove 97 miles away and back, twice, to get my new, 6-speed manual, BRZ Limited at Elk Grove Subaru rather than any of the Subaru dealerships in the SF Bay Area. Mike Carlson is just better than any other Subaru dealer I spoke to. I knew I wanted the BRZ for a long time, but had a lot of trouble getting what I needed from the Subaru dealers in the SF Bay area. I had to go out of my way until I found someone who could give me a straight-forward, fair price and the package I was looking for. This was Mike Carlson in Internet Sales. He responded to my email very quickly and answered all of my questions directly and with exactly the information I had requested. I asked if he'd order a specific color and package for me, he said he would. I needed to know how much I should expect to pay, so I asked him: how much will it cost, out-the-door? Mike responded with a number. I hadn't had any luck with these questions talking to other dealers, usually once I asked about price they would stop responding all together. Mike earned my business with his honesty and integrity. I made my first trip out to the dealership to order my BRZ, arranged for my order, and came home knowing it could be several months before I would see my car. Mike told me exactly what I could expect, he never tried to downplay the details just to make a sale; he was direct and honest. Mike kept up regular email communication with me: always using my preferred method of communication, to give me updates and new details. A few months later he told me my new BRZ was expected in and that I would be able to pick it up, so I drove my last 100 miles in my old Forester to Elk Grove. The purchase process went smoothly and I was off in my new car. Mike and the folks at Elk Grove Subaru made this entire process quite simple and pleasant. I would recommend that anyone shopping for a Subaru in the SF Bay Area shop with Mike, for a modern experience that challenges your expectations about buying a car. I started searching for a new Subaru and went to two other dealerships first. The fist one Maita was closer to the house the second one was in Roseville close to a friends house. Maita did not have anybody working that could find the vehicle I was looking for and did not have anyone certified to give me a quote on the vehicle I was looking to trade in. I went to Roseville when visiting a friend thinking I would get something accomplished but I was wrong. We walked around floor for about ten minutes before anyone bothered asking if we needed help, once a representative started assisting us he was told by his supervisor to go help out another customer that had just arrived, even though we had an appointment. The second representative took down the information from me and stated they had the car I was looking for but could not find it because his manager took it to San Jose for a convention but could have it back for me to buy, with all those miles on it. When I mentioned I was looking for an appraisal on my vehicle he instantly told me to come back another day because they were too busy to help me in that department. Yes I was turned away. I came home deflated and was about to give up but I saw there was a dealership in Elk Grove also and sent my request to and within minutes Bruce Cunningham called and e-mailed me with a car he had on the lot meeting my request. When I arrived my family and I were greeted as soon as we walked into the showroom floor. Bruce was kind enough to work with me and answer all my questions. I felt that the Subaru dealership was looking to get my business and did everything possible for me to walk out of there with the car I wanted. Mike Lagandon was very kind and helpful as well. I recently purchased a new 2014 Subaru Outback with the help of Chris Fuelner and Rod Kiehm. Both of these gentlemen were very helpful in helping me select a car that fit my needs and budget. Overall, purchasing this vechicle was a very pleasant experience and I would highly recommend either of these gentlemen. I am very happy with the Subaru Outback and plan on keeping this vechicle for a long time. Recently purchased a 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek, after having purchased a 2012 Subaru Impreza last year. Neither of us is fond of the "car buying experience", but dealing with Saun Mir, and several other folks at Elk Grove Subaru, made the event much easier. Everyone there was very patient with our endless questions and issues -- including having to amend our contract. Wonderful folks to deal with. Reaching a decent price was easy. We did not feel pressured in any way, ever. Saun was very personable, friendly, and bent over backwards to help us out with every single thing that came up. It was getting late in the day when the vehicle was detailed, and they overlooked a couple of things, but we easily remedied those at home. No worries. Great experience -- about as good as buying a car can be! More

I asked questions that were important to me in a new car purchase...about the car itself... and some of the responses turned out not to be true. I don't know if the sales person was ignorant about the car purchase...about the car itself... and some of the responses turned out not to be true. I don't know if the sales person was ignorant about the car or if he was just trying to tell me what I wanted to hear so I would by the car. After I bought the car and figured out what I was told about the car was untrue, they kept saying they would make it right and after many emails, calls and a couple more visits, they still did not do anything. They seem to understand that I was misinformed and they kept saying they wanted to make it right, but nothing was ever done. Never had this kind of problem when I bought cars new in the past (Honda's). More
