I’ve bought 6 cars from this dealer and had mostly enjoyed the experience here. Recently they had changed to Knight Group and employed new managers and sales teams. My wife and I were recently scammed by them while buying a car. We came in to buy a car with a loan from our credit union, the dealer insisted they do a credit application as they would be unable to sell us a car without it, we refused and never signed any paperwork. We explained to them that we had a loan ready with a favorable APR from our Bank and after calling them they confirmed the dealer just needed to use their shared system and no other application was needed. While sitting in the waiting area for them to finish the paperwork we got multiple notifications that our credit had been run via credit monitoring service. The sales manager denied that they did this and it must have been “Subaru of America” which was another Lie. They used information from previous purchases to run multiple applications without our consent. We never signed any paperwork or credit applications. After a long argument they admitted to doing this and said “ we wanted to get you better APR”. But as we said we had a very LOW APR already and this a a major concern and could be considered credit fraud as again we had not signed up for anything and had practically just walked in the dealership and test drove the car. While talking to Subaru of America and the bank, apparently this is not the first time they have done this. We now have 4 extra hard inquiries for loans we did not need. Sales manager hid from us, general manager would not talk to us. As a 6 year loyal customer I STRONGLY suggest not going to this dealer and finding the next closest Subaru dealer. More
