Elgin Kia did not put oil in our 2022 Carnival after an oil change and destroyed the engine on May 14, 2023. As of today, August 6, 2023, we are still waiting for a new engine to be put in. They admit that they “destroyed the engine” but have not been truthful about the cause. We have been told every single week since early June that it will be ready by the “end of the week”, but when that time comes, they push us back one week. Then, when the next week comes, they tell us the same thing. Because we can’t take the loaner out of state, we have cancelled multiple trips we’ve had planned for this summer. They promise to keep us updated but the only time anyone ever tells us anything is when I call them- and I have to call the sales department and have them transfer me because the won’t answer my calls. I have asked 5 times for the manager or general manager to call me, yet they have never done so. This is a pretty poor reflection imo. They provided an inferior loaner car that does not work for our family, does not work for our mobility requirements, and have literally no idea when the work will be completed, and I can’t get anyone to give me any actual answers. I’ve never experienced anything like this. We just want the car back with a new engine! More
I went to Elgin Kia after visiting 4 dealerships in the area. I randomly ended up on their lot with about 50 minutes until closing time. Remle greeted me with a smile and was very knowledgeable about the minivan I was looking at. He was honest and patient. I was with my wife and four young children. He was patent and very nice through the whole process. Al was great at getting me the best rates, and the best hot chocolate for my kids. Even at the end of the night Al ran out and gave all 4 of my sons a stuffed animal. The last person I met was Carly and she was great. She reviewed everything and was very upfront and honest. This dealership is honest, patient, and family friendly. I would recommend this dealership. They earned my business the next time I need a vehicle, and I live in Chicago. More
I have a frustrating experience. I was looking for a Kia Sorento Hybrid and found one at this location (pic attached). After going there and negotiating a price for my current car I was looking for a Kia Sorento Hybrid and found one at this location (pic attached). After going there and negotiating a price for my current car as a trade-in, they tell me the price of the Kia is $4,000 higher (48k+) than what is advertised on their website., citing that it's a premium car so they want more money. This took close to 2 hours of my time for a bait and switch and I find that practice highly unprofessional. Consider yourself warned. More
Absolute worst experience I’ve ever had with a car dealership. We ordered a car in January and patiently waited for our car to find out in August they removed us from the list unknowingly we didn’t di dealership. Our sales guy also sent us extremely inappropriate and unprofessional emails when he found out we visited the dealership to look at another car and spoke to another sales person because he wasn’t available. Worst possible service I have ever encountered. Rude manager and finance manager unavailable by phone. Don't do business with them! I purchased a 2022 Kia Stinger with low Mike's, less than 9500. Car had damage on bumper. Sales rep told me they would replace it. And it looks horrible. A professional did not repair this!! Not even a week later I get a flat. Bring it to a tire store only to find out the wheel locks are not in the car. Do you think the dealership helped? Of course not. They say they treat you like family..... pretty scary if this is how family is treated. More

After speaking with Kosta on the phone knowing how a lot of dealerships like to play games and just do what they can to get people in the store, Kosta was very upfront and honest about the procedure for ordering a car. Was not pushy at all. Upon arrival of the dealership I have to be honest to say I was very wary of the honesty of the phone conversation. However, upon meeting Kosta everything he said was absolutely correct and went smooth sailing. There is not one thing or gimmick or trick that was attempted at this dealership. This had to of been one of my nicest and easiest car buying experiences. Kosta spent endless time making sure my wife and I knew the ins and outs of our new vehicle which came in months earlier than we expected. My wife was very excited to have her new car so early. I will be recommending anyone I know to this dealership. Kosta, my wife and I cannot thank you enough for all of your great customer service and you are one excellent person to talk with as well. Thank you Kosta and Elgin/Wag Kia for giving us such a great experience. We look forward to seeing you guys and working with you guys with our next vehicle when it’s time. More

This dealership is terrible. We arrived and no Dave. We were told it was his day off and no one could reach him. Another salesman “Costa” attempted to help and then pulled a bait and switch. All of a sudden the car we had specifically come to see had “just been sold”. We had read Yelp reviews that had warned us about his type of conduct at this dealership. But since we had a specific appointment to see a specific car, we incorrectly thought this would not happen to us. I would never, ever go back to this dealership. They are not reputable. They lie.
