Problem description: I CANNOT REGISTER MY USED CAR PURCHASE WITH THE STATE OF INDIANA DMV DUE TO “ELGIN CDJR” NOT PROVIDING ME WITH A "CORRECTED ST-5 Problem description: I CANNOT REGISTER MY USED CAR PURCHASE WITH THE STATE OF INDIANA DMV DUE TO “ELGIN CDJR” NOT PROVIDING ME WITH A "CORRECTED ST-556 STATE SALES TAX FORM"...APPARENTLY, “ELGIN CDJR” IS TRYING TO "SHORT" THE STATE THE PROPER AMOUNT OF SALES TAX COLLECTED FROM ME AND KEEPING PART OF SALES TAX THAT I PAID, INSTEAD, OF TURNING IT OVER TO THE STATE... PAPERWORK DOES NOT MATCH UP AND THEY REFUSE TO CORRECT IT, IN ORDER FOR ME TO GET THE CAR (I PURCHASED FROM THEM) REGISTERED AND OBTAIN LICENSE PLATES. Great customer service So I droped off my 2017 dodge caravan for AC repair and Rachel in service department was who I delt with from the beginning, a very good and professio So I droped off my 2017 dodge caravan for AC repair and Rachel in service department was who I delt with from the beginning, a very good and professional service she has provided, she was great at her job. Dealership gave me a loaner car at no cost to me with no problem, It was a 2019 Chrysler Pacifica an awesome van I definitely like it more than my caravan. After they fixed my car I went to pick it up, AC worked like new again, when I pulled in my garage I noticed antifreeze leaking from the car, so I took it back and Rachel in service department worked with me because my 2 warantys dont cover burst lines or hoses. So thanks to the dealership management and the whole team they had coverd the $600 dollar problem at their cost, I was surprised that I didnt have to fight to get it my way. The problem was taken care of and I cant say enough about how well and professional they had treated me. THANK YOU TO THE TEAM AT ELGIN DODGE, CHRYSLER. More
Lease nightmare Finance manager screwed up our lease so bad that he had to drive to Rockford to have us resign a new lease. He processed the original and didn’t send in the new one. I had been making payments on the account number I received and not the one he sent in. In the end, we ended up with 5 inquiries on our credit score, a new alias as he misspelled my last name, dealing with proving my payments with bank statements, a harassing phone call from the dealership wanting payment over the phone, a repossession notice/Chrysler saying we were current, and a GM that wouldn’t return our calls. Luckily, Chrysler finance has been the only one that has been helpful and straightened things out for us. More

I have every reason to believe that he would be available for consult way past the sale of the Ram 1500. You might do yourself a favor and ask for him immediately upon entering the dealership. More
Disrespectful Salesman I contacted the internet sales department through Cars.com about 2 vehicles in their stock that I was possibly interested in purchasing and wanted to I contacted the internet sales department through Cars.com about 2 vehicles in their stock that I was possibly interested in purchasing and wanted to come in and check them out for myself. The internet sales department was very helpful and friendly to me in their responses. My really poor and disappointing customer service experience started once I arrived at this dealership and was assigned a salesman to work with by one of the sales managers. This salesman treated me with a lot of disrespect and was really rude to me. He expressed to me that he was very angry that I was wasting his time by only coming in to test drive vehicles with him and do some research and that I was not ready to make a purchase that same day. During the one test drive, he made disrespectful and mean remarks about my wife and competing dealerships. I only test drove one of the two vehicles that I was interested in possibly purchasing because he told me that he had another appointment coming and did not have the time to show me the other vehicle and also did not offer me the option of having a different salesperson work with me to show me the other vehicle. Finally, the one vehicle that I did test drive with him was not even the specific one from his stock that I had contacted the internet sales department about possibly purchasing. I am taking my business to a different Chrysler /Dodge dealership. More

BEWARE! Avoid this place like the plague! On 11/15/18 I contacted this dealer via email with one request. I wanted to know the total price of the vehicle before I drove 4 hours to see a 2017 K On 11/15/18 I contacted this dealer via email with one request. I wanted to know the total price of the vehicle before I drove 4 hours to see a 2017 Kia Forte. No issues w/ the listed price. But I want to know the total price to include dealer fees and taxes. No trades involved. I explained I'm willing to put down $3,000 as well. So Alexa Rodriguez responds and says she cannot provide a final price. When I ask why? She states, "We don't want there to be any error in the price." Alexa, that is the most ridiculous response I've ever heard. I have to purchase a different vehicle every year since I travel for work. This isn't my first car buying experience. I've purchased 16 vehicles from dealerships and this is the only one in which I've received the response, "Sorry, we can't give you the price because we don't want there to be any errors." Alexa, the final price would be the same whether I'm standing there in your dealership or contacting you from 200 miles away. I don't want my time wasted. I would appreciate the same courtesy. I'm okay with dealer fees and taxes but those amounts vary widely amongst dealers. Knowing how ridiculous Alexa's response was, I replied and asked what do you do for those customers that want to obtain their own financing? Do you tell them as well you can't give them a price? Ridiculous. Needless to say, Alexa didn't respond afterwards nor did anyone else with the subsequent 2 other requests I sent looking for the total price. Folks, if a dealer is not willing to give you a total price, avoid at all costs. That means the dealer is using misleading sales tactics to get customers in the door (price listed on website really isn't the price); the dealer is trying to push ancillary products such as extended warranties, cosmetic protection packages, GAP coverage; etc. Now, let's all wait for the canned response we'll see here soon enough from the "owner" requesting that I contact him/her to discuss the matter further. Mind you I've attempted to contact the dealer 4 times now for a final price. And the staff, once challenged on the ridiculous answer that was provided, has completed avoided responding. You have my name, cell phone #, and email address. So, to the owner or any other person that responds, you have my contact info. Feel free to reach out. If you're ready to provide me with a final price, I'm looking to buy on Saturday morning (11/17/18). I'd be happy to revise my review if and when you're ready to provide the final price. More
