Dealer is unwilling to work with you over the phone, must stop in to finalize any kind of pricing negotiations. Not very friendly associates, unwillingness to work with the customer. Found several other dealers in the area that are all willing to work remotely/ over the phone/ or by email to finalize the paperwork. This dealer must really not want any business as I had tried several times to contact/ or get in touch with someone that was willing to work with me. Seems as though the rest of these reviews are true. Word of advice go somewhere else and don't waste your time with these schmucks. More

My husband and I purchased a Chrysler Pacifica 2020 all-wheel drive in November. As part of the purchase agreement this dealership agreed to install a mopar trailer package because they did not have a all-wheel drive in November. As part of the purchase agreement this dealership agreed to install a mopar trailer package because they did not have a car in inventory to match all the options we wanted nor did they even look at local inventory to find a Pacifica with all our options. So we settled on having the trailer package installed. This sounded like a good deal until we made several trips to the dealership to get what we agreed on. The service department called to notify us the parts are in for the trailer package. When we spoke to service, they stated the trailer hitch and wiring harness was there to be installed. The communication between sales and service at the dealership is horrible and we could not get a clear answer and we had to make numerous calls, being put on hold and not receiving returned calls. We were told the dealership would install the factory mopar trailer hitch. BUT this did not happen, instead only4 pin wiring harness was installed hanging from the trailer hitch with a cable tie. UNEXCEPTABLE-we found out they used an outside vendor to install the trailer package that was not mopar. So we were told it would be fixed to our expectations. The second installation was instead another error this time the 4 pin was removed and 7 pin installed and not factory grade mopar. They screwed up again. We are so disappointed with the service and communication with this dealership. They are completely inept and cannot communicate between departments. We hope this third attempt to install the mopar trailer hitch will be successful but we are not sure what will happen this time. This is just ridiculous. Avoid buying from this dealership unless you can drive away with all the options you want. More

First off, what I will share aligns very well with MANY other customer experiences with Elgin Jeep. Here’s the quick read: DO NOT BUY HERE! I recently purchased a new Jeep Wrangler with a trade in. After s other customer experiences with Elgin Jeep. Here’s the quick read: DO NOT BUY HERE! I recently purchased a new Jeep Wrangler with a trade in. After settling on the price for the trade in and the new car, I mentioned that I had a Chrysler Green Sheet discount coming. The salesman Bob Mueller said, send us the control number this week and we will apply it to the sale. He wasn’t even sure what the control number discount was until I explained it. Later that week I called Bob more than 5 times trying to reach him, no answer. He never got back to me. Then I was directed to a manager named Jason. After discussing this with him, he said that Bob “agreed with me” on price of the vehicle at $37,000 and that they were honoring their “employee pricing” as they said was shown on their website. The factory price on my vehicle was $38,000. This is not “employee pricing”. Employee pricing is 5 percent off the factory price. Anyways, Jason will not call me back as I’ve reached out to him and his office more than 10 times in the past 3 weeks with unanswered calls and voicemails. His boss even assured me that he would reach out to me as soon as possible, and that has yet to happen. This dealership will throw you to the curb so fast after you make a sale with them. Their customer service is a major red flag. Their own salesman that sold me the car could not even communicate with me afterwards. Besides the issue with the sale price, I am missing the tool that comes with the Jeep to take off the rear top. Jeep told me to tell the dealer this, but of course I can’t even get to that with them because they don’t want to deal with their customers. By the way, this is the exact words that salesman said to me when I arrived to Elgin Jeep: “If I work this price, are you going to promise you will buy from me? I’m not wasting my time am I?” I have no further comment on that, but ask yourself, are you prepared to be talked to this way? When I was sitting down and purchasing my vehicle I couldn’t help but notice other customers talking with salesman and arguing back at them. This environment is extremely questionable to say the least. They will try to squeeze every dollar out of you and then try to spin you around to make you look ignorant. I asked multiple times what my APR rate would be and Bob refused to tell me because he didn’t want to risk me walking away. Clearly dishonesty and childish games have to be played for a dealership so desperate. Pathetic! Again, DO NOT even walk into this place. More
If you go to that dealer beware of Sales Manager Paul Katz & finance Manager Tommy Gonzales. those two are rats. dishonest individuals. That dealer Internet price is just a bait to bring in buyers and t Katz & finance Manager Tommy Gonzales. those two are rats. dishonest individuals. That dealer Internet price is just a bait to bring in buyers and then rip them off. if the online price say $18,000 once you go there they will never mention that internet price. the deal with start with the MSRP and when the price go down it will never reach to the internet price. don't trust what comes out of the mouth of Paul or Tommy. check your paper contracts before you walk out of that place. don't believe nothing of what they promise you. Paul & Tommy raised loan contract without my consent. they raised my monthly payments, they raised my interest percentage. no matter if you have a great credit score they will give you a high interest. What can be said about Elgin Jeep that you can't already gather from the other lack luster reviews on google, dealerrater, etc. Typically sleezy dealer practices. Every trick in the book to not give a defin gather from the other lack luster reviews on google, dealerrater, etc. Typically sleezy dealer practices. Every trick in the book to not give a definitive price / squeeze you. Was lied to and dragged along by multiple "sales" people, customer service rep and an extremely unprofessional sales manager. Was a cash buyer told that a personal check would require a credit check which we didnt want to do, was then told they cannot give us an OTD total until we came back (after the first visit), how can I get you a bank check without the amount? Was told that the quoted price was indeed the price even though I asked "isn't this every rebate even the ones we don't qualify for" and was still told no "I promise that is the price, just come in." Save your money, time and self respect, go anywhere else, we have bought from Dempsey which has been awesome and now this time around Riverfront. Sad that dealers and businesses still operate like this in today's world. More
