We were very serious about buying a Jeep Wrangler. We live in Minnesota and I talked with the general manager, he made it very clear that they will not hold a jeep even if I put earnest money down, since live in Minnesota and I talked with the general manager, he made it very clear that they will not hold a jeep even if I put earnest money down, since they were in such high demand. Again, we were very serious about buying a wrangler. I can guarantee that we would have driven off the lot with the jeep . I told him that there was absolutely no way that I was going to drive or fly down just to be told it was sold. He repeated his stand that they will not hold a Jeep Wrangler. Since our conversation on August 26 they have emailed me twice and I replied I’m not going to go there if they won’t hold it. And they just now called me. Guess it’s not in such high demand after all. They would have to give me $5000.00 off the price at this point and pay our airfare If they want me to buy it now. More

I received a very good deal on a truck and my trade that 6 other dealerships wouldn't even discuss discounts on. Great communication and followup from salesman Jose regarding status of the truck shipping. Sales Manager Paul was great to talk with also and very forthright. Very detailed delivery instructions from Jose on the truck features and technology. I have read some of the negative reviews on this page and my experience couldn't be more opposite of any of those comments. I had nothing but a great sales experience. More
This dealership has absolutely no intention of working with customers to help them find the best price, or *ANY* price that any sane individual would even remotely call decent. We worked with a salesperso with customers to help them find the best price, or *ANY* price that any sane individual would even remotely call decent. We worked with a salesperson named Bob who was perfectly nice and helpful. I am giving Elgin CDJR one star only for Bob being a nice guy (and also because you have to give at least one star). This dealership does not know how to do math properly! Either that, or they are actively trying to scam their customers with deceptive practices. We went into Elgin CDJR today to lease a 2021 Wrangler Sahara Unlimited 4xe. We have worked with several other dealerships over the past few days getting guaranteed lease numbers, but the deals have fallen through only because the Jeeps were sold before we could get there. Every other dealership was quoting us in the $484-$550/month range for a lease with 36 months, 12K miles annually, and $6K down at signing. Elgin CDJR's initial calculated monthly payment came back at $676/month!!! We were shocked, to say the least. We said, "Absolutely not! There's definitely something wrong with your numbers." Bob went back to the "glass cube" where they run all their numbers. His manager (didn't catch his name) came back out and told us that he can try to dig around a bit more to lower the monthly payment, but the best he was going to be able to do was probably around the $650/month range. We told him his math is wrong or he's actively scamming us. We immediately got up and walked out. As soon as we got home, we went onto another dealership's website 30 miles away and found the exact same Sahara 4xe with an MSRP $1,000 more than what Elgin was asking. They ran the lease numbers for us with the exact same criteria we had given Elgin, and they came back with a monthly payment of $484/month. Even if that number fluctuates slightly by the time we sign all the paperwork, it's still a far cry less than the crap Elgin tried to pull ($192/mo less to be exact). And that was this other dealership's *INITIAL* lease offer. When we had first pulled into Elgin's parking lot, we were amazed at how many Wranglers they had on their lot. Every other dealership we've been to has been nearly bare of Wranglers because they are flying off the lots. Well, now we know why Elgin has such a large inventory. No one wants to buy from them!!!!! Horrible dealership. Unprofessional sales manager. Hiding in his office when I asked for his name to write a review. Bad sales tactics by asking for monthly payment I want after I asked him what payment he c in his office when I asked for his name to write a review. Bad sales tactics by asking for monthly payment I want after I asked him what payment he can offer… they need to get some training or find a job that suits them better. They are what gives car sales man a bad reputation. More

I would give them Zero stars if I could. DO NOT GO THERE! As a customer spending thousands of dollars on a purchase I was appalled at the way my husband and I were treated. We were the only customers THERE! As a customer spending thousands of dollars on a purchase I was appalled at the way my husband and I were treated. We were the only customers when we walked in yet were not approached by anyone for about 10 minutes - yet there were several employees all sitting in an office with glass walls - so it would have been hard not to see us. When a salesman finally approached and we started to ask about a vehicle we saw online the salesman got very angry and frustrated because he couldn't explain why he wanted to charge more than the price that was online. With an attitude he said to us, "do you wanna buy a car or what?" When we asked for the manager he was also very condescending. When we asked for his name he would only give us his first name, we asked for his business card and he said he didn't have any - what Sales Manager doesn't have business cards. Did he really think we couldn't find out what his name is? Needless to say, we purchased Jeep at a different dealership. More
Appreciated the opportunity to talk with personnel that actually knew something about vehicles. Other dealers discourage direct communication with technical personnel. Our family went in having full knowledge of the car we wanted the incentives from dodge and the e-price. After 3 hours with my husband and teenagers and our sales guy we knew we wanted a particular charge wanted the incentives from dodge and the e-price. After 3 hours with my husband and teenagers and our sales guy we knew we wanted a particular charger. Scammers!! Bait and switch, false advertising, 2800 extra “protection package” and the Paul guy you have read about are all 100% true! I gave them a piece of my mind and Paul couldn’t manage to keep his cool when a woman was asking him stop the run around and provide reasons for his fake add on charges!! So his responses like “you’re confused, let me finish, and you find it hard to understand” was the most disgusting display of mansplaining I’ve ever experienced in public! The minute you tell a customer they need to let YOU talk, so you can give me your speech about undercoat bs, and disrespect me, there’s only one thing I’m zipping!! My wallet!! That was not a look of “defeat” as Paul mentioned on our faces as we decided to leave, it was of complete disgust for this dealership. More
I had been looking at Jeep Gladiators for a couple months before buying. Finally found a dealer that had great, honest pricing, great selection and a great staff.
