After two failed service appointmemt attempts by the techss at Elder Mitsubishi to resolve the issue Rusty stepped in and saved the day. The techs blamed the error on a dashcam. Rusty took the time to thoughly diagnose the car. He reprogrammed the software on the car and called a few hours later to let us know it was ready to be picked up. He patiently listened to our concerns and frustrations and treated us like valued customers. He was awesome and best of all wife is happy to have the car back in working condition. Thank you Rusty for taking care of us. More
This pisses me off, I bought my second Outlander a couple of months ago and it had some dents in the weather strip on the driver's side windows. I had already signed the contract when I noticed this and othe of months ago and it had some dents in the weather strip on the driver's side windows. I had already signed the contract when I noticed this and other damage, they told me they would fix it. After taking it to the service department 6 times, they damaged the door, I left the car for 1 week, they delivered it to me worse, I left it for 2 more weeks and they did a bad job on the bodywork and paint, right now it is with them and I don't I know how this is going to end. I have to continue paying for my car and without using it I hope someone can help me with this problem. If they can't fix my door, let them put another one on it. I don't care, but let them solve it. First let me state that Cedar Park service tech, John seemed to treat me honestly. I brought my Outlander in on Wed. September 27, 2023 for a warranty issue. I had just purchased the 2020 Outlander and seemed to treat me honestly. I brought my Outlander in on Wed. September 27, 2023 for a warranty issue. I had just purchased the 2020 Outlander and the touch screen did not work. I was aware that the radio is only under warranty for 3 years, 36,000 miles. Well, the car ONLY had 4,200 miles when I got it. John checked the VIN and found out the radio was still under warranty and said I could bring it back Friday at 2pm. I arrived Friday, Sept 29, and found John and said I was hear for the radio. Then the problems started. Person #2 came up and said "yeah, I saw the box in the back...want me to get it?". Person #3 came up (was told later it was the Service Manager; but, he never introduced himself) and said "No, that can't be under warranty". I said that we had checked it out on Wednesday. He wanted the VIN. I offered if off my phone and he said "we will get it off the vehicle". They checked the computer and Person #3 said "nope it expired in December". I said that December would have been within the three years. Person #3 said it's only 3 years OR 36,000 miles. I said well "lucky for me the car only had 45 HUNDRED miles on it". Person #3 then states "well, it takes 4-6 weeks to get a radio". I said I wanted the one that Person #2 said was in the back. Person #3 then turned to John and said "did she purchase on this lot?". REALLY, that's how y'all do work???!!! You only help the people who purchase from Cedar Park? John said "no, she bought it from her sister"...which is true. Person #3 turned to me and said it will be 4-6 weeks. I asked "why was I told to come in on Friday at 2pm if there wouldn't be a radio?" Again, told "4-6 weeks" and Person #3 walked away. John took my name and phone number on a sticky note. I am pretty sure that sticky note got thrown away when I left. I was so flustered and upset that I didn't get any names. I left in tears knowing that I shouldn't have been treated that way. I went home and called my sister and then Mitsubishi in Lewisville. I was willing to drive 3+ hours if the original dealership had a radio. Lewisville said that they didn't have any that weren't tagged for a customer and any dealership is supposed to honor warranties. I then called Killeen Mitsubishi and was VERY leery dealing with them since they have the same owner as Cedar Park. Well, they had a radio in stock and put it in on Wednesday, October 4th. I drove over an hour to go to Killeen when Cedar Park is ten minutes from my house and I will do it again to have the proper, friendly, and honest service from Lorraine and Justin. Cedar Park Service...get your act together and treat women with more respect. By the way, it's been five weeks and I still haven't heard back from anyone in Cedar Park...go figure! :( By the way Mitsubishi ought to be concerned as to why the radios are going out so quickly!
