Our total experience was absolutely fantastic! I am a tough customer and was going to go to Tennessee to purchase my New 2012 FX4... it seemed they had the best deal going, but I thought...wait lets see tough customer and was going to go to Tennessee to purchase my New 2012 FX4... it seemed they had the best deal going, but I thought...wait lets see if any Ford Dealership will give me a similar deal here in the Tampa Bay Area?? I called around and the best friendliest people can be found right here in the Tampa Bay at: Elder Ford. When I first inquired a girl took down all my information and then with-in 10 minutes a salesperson called me back and then put the sales manager Jeff Bass on the phone. He assured me that he would get any vehicle I wanted along with the best price. I thought...Ok let see. Jeff personally called me back 1 hour later and explained that he found the truck I wanted in Orlando and could have it there later that day and he would beat the out the door price I received in Tennessee by $50.00!!! Well he did and when I came into the dealership later that day he turned me over to a spectacular men name Maurice Rojo: The Internet Manager. Maurice explained that he personally went to Orlando to get the truck and was very familiar with the vehicle and went on to explain every little detail to my wife and I... It was simply the best explanation of any vehicle we ever bought! He went over everything from the air conditioned seats, GPS to programming our phones and reprogramming a new code for the door locks on the driver's door. He took us out for a good demonstration ride to make sure we understood everything. This is a dealership that gives you a great price and truly wants you to come back for service and to buy your next vehicle from them. I live in the Indian Rocks Beach area and not one dealership in Pinellas County came close to giving my wife and I the price or respect that is deserved when buying a new car as did the Elder Ford Team in Tampa Florida. Not everything that happens at a car dealership is what it seems, or goes as plan. If you are anything like me you are wary of “used car salesmen” in the first place. I made contact with Ed Michaels at Eld it seems, or goes as plan. If you are anything like me you are wary of “used car salesmen” in the first place. I made contact with Ed Michaels at Elder Ford to look at a 2010 Ford extended van that I had seen in the truck trader. Ed told me that the van was still available and for me to come in. To make a long story short, when I arrived to view the van I found that the van had been sold without Ed’s knowledge earlier that day. Of course I was already cautious before I arrived, so I automatically thought that I had been duped into driving up to Tampa to be sold a different vehicle. I drove away very upset, and I made that known to Ed in an email the next day. I told him that I drove a 126 mile round trip for nothing, and I said some not-so-nice things, lumping Ed Michaels in with what I felt about used car salesmen. At any rate, Ed isn’t your average salesman. He indeed has a heart, and he was genuinely sorry for the event and made it up to me by sending me a $50 gas card for my trouble. I said all that to say this. If you are reading this review to help make a decision whether or not to shop at Elder Ford, I suggest you look Ed Michaels up, because with him you are going to get a real person who really does care about your needs.
