Eldorado Chevrolet's Service Department saved me from being without my car for several days. In need of two new keys for my Buick, I purchased and had them cut at the local Buick dealer. After waiting fo being without my car for several days. In need of two new keys for my Buick, I purchased and had them cut at the local Buick dealer. After waiting for three hours at my appointment, I was told that the mechanic couldn't connect the key fobs because his equipment repeatedly disconnected when it was plugged into the cars' computer, and that I would need to leave it for three to four days so they could troubleshoot the problem. I couldn't do that so I made an appointment at Eldorado Chevrolet. Jose checked me in and within two hours I had my keys in hand. And I paid about $40.00 less than what the Buick dealer had quoted. They scheduled a convenient time and day for my service and changed my oil, fixed a simple recall and rotated my tires. The car wash guy lacks a bit and is no detailer but not a big deal. I scheduled oil/air filter change and requested service on the gear shifter through the myChevrolet app. I received a confirmation text, "GM:EL DORADO, IN apt on 06/06/23 @ 11:00AM." I dropped the SUV off on the gear shifter through the myChevrolet app. I received a confirmation text, "GM:EL DORADO, IN apt on 06/06/23 @ 11:00AM." I dropped the SUV off at the dealer service bay Tuesday, Tuesday, June 6 at 11:00AM, as scheduled online. Anthony at El Dorado Motors was assigned to me when I arrived. I had scheduled an oil, air and filter change along with checking out the gear shifter, which was having problems going into Park to turn the car off. The shifter would act up about 50% of the time. He told me the website had me down for the shifter, but not the oil/filter change and would do all of it. He let me know the shifter issue was common and was an easy fix. He would also check out the warranty if it would cover the shifter issue, as the 2019 SUV's basic warranty had run out due to time, but I had purchased an extended warranty when the vehicle was purchased. He would call me with more info on when the car would be ready and on the warranty/price estimate. I was picked up by a coworker and returned to work. I received a text at 11:11AM on that same Tuesday, I assume from Anthony, "Hi Gerardo, this is Anthony at El Dorado Motors Inc. You can text me anytime at this number during your service visit. Prefer to call? (972) 569-0154". I replied, "Hi Anthony, Jerry (Gerardo) Holguin with the Blazer shifter issue. Can you also check the front and rear windshield wipers? Thanks!". Anthony replied, "Yes Sir! You really need an oil change and an air filter as well." This was already discussed and approved, but I replied, "Absolutely, thanks!". I called that number at 5:00PM and left a message asking for status. No answer, so I left a message. I texted Anthony on Wednesday, June 7, "Hi Anthony, Any word on an ETA or an official ok about the warranty? Thanks!". His immediate reply, "No Sir. Not yet." So Anthony or someone was replying to my texts, but had no answers. I called again on Wednesday and Thursday at 5PM each day for an update and left messages. I was out of town Friday to Monday, but continued to call. I arrived back in town late Monday and called again, Tuesday and Wednesday. I went to the dealership on Thursday, June 15 and waited for Anthony by his desk. He told me he had no info on the shifter or insurance yet. I asked if the oil, oil/air filter, wipers had at least been changed. He had no record of those requests. I was livid. His excuse was he had over 200 cars in his possesiion all needing service. Over 9 days and I was exactly where I started. He requested 1 hour to find out more info. I informed him if I did not hear back from him in 1 hour, I would return. 40 minutes later, he called to inform me the car would be ready by end of day. I picked the car up later that day. I'm assuming the oil and filter had been changed, but the air filter and windshield wipers had not been changed. He apologized and gave me 6 cards for free car washes. More
