Scheduled an appointment 4 days in advance of drop off. When making the appointment I notified them I would be on vacation for 10 days and it was very important that the vehicle be ready for pick up Monda When making the appointment I notified them I would be on vacation for 10 days and it was very important that the vehicle be ready for pick up Monday August 7th. I tried calling and texting the service manager prior to heading to the dealership to pick it up. When I arrived they informed me that the vehicle wasn’t assigned a tech/mechanic until Friday August 5th. I asked if it would be ready that afternoon or the next morning. They said they’d get right on it and give me a call that afternoon to give me a status. I was never contacted that afternoon even though I had called and left messages that late afternoon and evening. Attempts to get in touch with the service manager the following day were unsuccessful. Tuesday afternoon I asked the receptionist to speak to some one and not an answering machine. I spoke to a new service manager who informed me the vehicle would still need a few days before I could pick it up. I asked him if I could pick it up that day because I couldn’t wait another few days; He said yes, I told him he’d see me in 20 minutes. The vehicle was scheduled for new brakes and a diagnostic on the Entertainment Console/DVD player that they replaced 3 months earlier. Here is where my expectations were not met. 1. What is an appointment for if they don’t schedule it in the que? 2. If you are too busy and can’t meet the deliverable, don’t take the appointment. 3. Keep your customers updated with status and return phone calls. 4. How can the vehicle be ready for pick up in 20 minutes if you are actively working on it? I would rather had been told at drop off the date couldn’t be met. On Monday they had an opportunity to reset expectations and not waste my time; If I would have known then it would be another few days, I would have left with it on Monday morning with disappointment rather than anger as I did on Tuesday.
