Don't go here - it's a nightmare every time My husband brought our 2009 CRV into Honda to have the airbags changed due to a recall from Honda. He brought the car in and left it for the day. He picked it up early afternoon, and we thought all was good. We later left for the City and noticed that the radio kept going in and out, all stations. When we got out of the car we realized our whole antennae was gone. We called Honda and they said to bring it back in. My husband brought it in on Monday morning and they said it must have gotten broken when they washed the car before returning it to us. When bringing it back, the gentlemen waiting on my husband made a decision and ordered the part. Once I returned, again, they said the part wasn't enough and they needed to order another part. It took over a week and they never called us to tell us the part was in. My husband had to call. Then they wanted the car again for the whole day. My husband once again explained he works and needs his car. They were not willing to give us a loaner. They told my husband they would give him a free oil change due to the inconvenience of everything. We finally found someone to follow him to the dealership to drop the car off. They wanted him to wait in line because "other people had appointments too." They finally took the car and fixed the antennae. The car was ready at 4:30 that same day. We received no oil change and when we called back later that day, the person waiting on my husband said "no one told me that." In total, we had to make three trips into Honda to get something fixed where it was there mistake. This is how all of our experiences have been for service at Honda El Cerrito. Both my husband and I drive Hondas and have for over 20 years. I bought my 2013 Civic in El Cerrito. Sales was fine, it the service area where I always have the problem. Next recall we get we will go back to Fairfield Honda where they actually have a good service group that take care of you when you are there. More

Positive experience I have been a customer at Honda service center for 2 of my Honda cars since 1992. I closely worked with Wayne and Mel and that is the reason I bough I have been a customer at Honda service center for 2 of my Honda cars since 1992. I closely worked with Wayne and Mel and that is the reason I bought My new HRV Navi-2018 so I can continue servicing my car in this great center working with Mel . I was encouraged by Mel to buy a new car as my car was getting old. I was introduce to Silvia Garcia a year ago by Mel and I told her last year that When I am ready I will be back to buy it from her and I did . I did my research and Silvia patiently waited for me and knew that I will go to her. Silvia was very busy on 26Dec2018 when I walked in but she cared for me as her other customers that she had appointment with on that day. She was very thorough going over my options and we test drive 2 cars (CRV & HRV) with her busy schedule. She did not rush me and knew I need more time to decide. She exceptionally worked with Rick Guerin to get closer price to what Truecar.com estimated. Silvia and Rick both got the color of HRV I wanted from another dealer and did not charge me for the transfer since I was a long time customer. Even though it was very late when we received the car but Silvia had workers clean my car and under high lights we inspect the car again for cheeps since it was driven from another dealer. she went over futures of the car as much as she could and She even drove the new car for me to my home that was close by and told me if I find anything in daytime, I can go to her. I am a person who needs a little more time to decide and being a scientist can explain my nature. I had a very bad experience with Anna Pineda the finance manager that day when trying to make the deal. She overwhelmed me one buying warranty by scaring me about my car features breaking down after 36000 mile with a picture of a car covered with red veins in her office and pointing on it. Also since my current car was old I discontinued the collision option for the body of car only on my car insurance so as honest as I am, when I explained to her , she ride away said you can't have this car home rather than guiding me that it can be done by renewing my full insurance. It was not explained to me when I showed the proof of my insurance and that is all it was and nothing more. I walked out of her office all shacking and almost left not to buy the car and felt embarrassed and felt I wasted my whole day. But Rick and Silvia kindly helped me with great instruction to re-new my insurance and Anthony Mendoza stepped in for rest of my paperwork and have my new beautiful car home. As I mentioned have been a customer for over 20 years and my sister also purchased her Pathfinder from Honda of El Cerrito 18 years ago. I also have a great credit score and have 0 balance on my credit car and hoped for being a customer of 20years and having a great credit score I could have the 0.9% APR for 5 years financing as my previous Honda accorder EX v6 2002.. However Rick explained thoroughly , It was not possible. Also the truecar.com had the price $300 cheaper but I could not get that since Rick explained that he had to trade a car to get the color I wanted. These 2 are the only minor disappointment I had. However for the bad experience with Anna, Rick and Silvia gave me a code for additional safety and warranty on my car for price of one that I am planning to consult with Mel and hopefully purchasing it. I really appreciate Mel for encouraging me and introducing me to Silvia, Silvia for helping me to get the car I wanted and Rick for understanding my emotion and making this big decision and helping me not feeling embraced by Bringing in Anthony after my bad experience with Anna. I love my Honda of El Cerrito Family and thank for giving me a positive experience More
