The overall dealership experience was so solid, we went ahead with the service plan at the dealership (which I've never said yes to before). I have no problem committing to returning to this dealership to keep our new Honda tip top... and if I buy another (I hope this one is it!!) I'll be back here, no doubt. Thank Goodness for Jason Circumstances precipitating my unexpected, urgent, & immediate procurement of a new car were harrowing enough w/o the added aggravation I got here xxo Circumstances precipitating my unexpected, urgent, & immediate procurement of a new car were harrowing enough w/o the added aggravation I got here xxone of H of EC's agents, who began by waylaying me out front on my way inside. After I described exactly what I wanted, this agent acted imposed upon, so I reiterated I was going inside to see Alenai to which I was abruptly told Alenai wasn't even an agent so couldn't help me anymore, that I'd have to go through this person anyway. I now know that wasn't entirely true. While I DID have to use AN agent, it didn't necessarily have to be this one. Anyway, I reckoned I'd grit my teeth & bare my way on through, after which I was sent home w/o a test-drive, which I was told we'd do along w/everything else on Fri. I offered to pay, which was sternly refused. I even asked how I could be guaranteed the car before the deal was sealed, but was just told it couldn't be a problem because the dealership had 2 other cars the same as mine. I was given VIN# to give my insurance agent & instructions to return Fri., checkbook in hand. I asked again if indeed it was true no money was required to hold my car, to which was replied, "Absolutely not! Its late; lets go home!" So I did, thinking I was going to check all Honda inventories in the area online to see if there was any way I could get the car I wanted xxsomewhere else. There wasn't, so I went about my business until Thurs. when Isabella emailed to see if I'd received the price guarantee certificate she'd sent Tues.& whether an agent had contacted me or not? Then I received an emailed form-letter w/my name space left blank xxagent asking if I was still interested in purchasing a car. These emails nonplussed me, to say the least, so I called in to speak w/Isabella only to be told she wasn't there, which was seeming to always be the case. So I asked to speak w/JR, & got the same reply. Finally, I was told Isabella isn't actually a person, but rather just an aspect of a computer program. When I asked who was in charge right then, I was told it was complicated. This young woman on the phone was seemingly doing her best to appease me & offered to look up my car by its VIN#, which revealed it'd been sold Wed. She explained no note of my pending sale had been left, so how was anyone to know? She wanted to reassure me by saying there wasn't much chance of said 2 remaining cars still in inventory selling before I got there Fri. She also said she could tell I wasn't relieved so was going to connect me to JR's assistant, Patricia, who I told I'd be coming in asap given bus schedules, etc, but we were suddenly cutoff. She called later to say that happened due to technical difficulty on her end & that she was sending a car for me, which I appreciated, thanks for that... This is where Jason comes into this picture & thank goodness for that! Had I not previously been instructed to bring in my checkbook, but rather a cashier's check, it would've saved a LOT of time and energy that it took to verify my credit standing & good character enough for folks in charge to feel comfortable accepting my personal check in exchange for a new Honda Fit, which I F-I-N-A-L-L-Y drove off the premises FIVE hours later. I credit everyone I encountered that day's high level of professionalism that all said verification was achieved unbeknownst to me. I just thought the long delay was due to the incredible busyness in the sales arena that day, noticing lots of staff meetings convened in offices of higher-ups as well as that the applicants in the next cubicle were there almost as long as I. Thankfully, Jason exhibited a calm confidence that carried over to me. He very knowledgeably answered all my questions, verified his use of computer screen vs. hardcopy wasn't off-putting, offered & provided refreshment, etc... This man knows his cars, but also how to amiably pass a LOT of time w/a complete stranger who has recently been through the wringer. It didn't seem to bother him in the least that such a small sale put him through so much, including staying later than regular business hours. He's offered to help me w/any questions that arise going forward as I acclimate more fully to my new Fit, which is a huge departure xxthe eighteen-year-old Saturn I'm accustomed to driving. Jason is a real class act, & I'm better for having crossed paths w/him regardless of what car I'm driving... Last but not least is the lady who reviewed my sale in relation to service packages. She did well assuaging my initial price-shock by personalizing my reaction by comparing with that that of her mother. She seemed credible to me, & I'm not an easy sell. She's obviously very intelligent & well-versed on her area of expertise while seeming relatable. The dealership is well-served by her. More
