Brought my '08 Pacifica into their service department after experiencing a noise from the front drivers side wheel area. The noise was only present while giving the vehicle gas and moving. It did not speed up or slow down with the engine speed, only with the wheel speed. I explained all of this to the service writer (Joe). They did not have a loaner vehicle available so I was given a ride home. 2 days later having not heard back from anyone I called and asked about the status of the vehicle. After being put on hold so the service person could "go look to see where that vehicle was" they came back on the phone and stated that the vehicle was done and the issue was a 'loose wheel cover' ??? My thought was 'ok, maybe thats all it was, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt..." I stated that I would be by to get the vehicle later that evening but I was going to test drive it before taking it home. The charge was stated to be around $100. I arrived at the dealership and service was closed for the day. I was able to get the keys from the customer service lady and took the vehicle for a test drive. I wasnt even out of the lot and already heard the same noise the vehicle was brought in for. So I turned around and brought it back and gave the keys to the customer service lady and stated I would call 'Joe' in the morning. After talking to Joe and asking what the $100 was for if nothing was fixed he stated that the service tech had found two lugnuts on the front drivers side that appeared to not be stock and they were allowing the wheel cover to move and make noise. The tech had removed the cover, rotated it and reinstalled (with the same lugnuts that were supposedly the cause of the issue!, they didnt even replace them!) I stated that I had come by and drove the vehicle and that the noise was still there. He agreed to have it looked at again. After another 2 days of not hearing anything back from the service department I called again to check the status. After more searching around by the service department to 'find the paperwork' I was told that they had looked at it, drove it, and that the source of the noise was a cracked flexplate. This was going to require 10 hours of labor to replace a $40 part and cost near $1000 to fix. I stated that I would need to discuss with my wife and that I would call the next day. I called back the next day and spoke to the service manager. I stated that I would be picking up the vehicle and wasnt comfortable having them perform the repairs. We agreed to split the difference for the $100 bill being they didnt actually fix anything and I spent over 1/2 hour driving back to the dealership initially to discover this. I brought the vehicle to another local Dodge dealer in Little Falls who after diagnosing the problem discovered that the flexplate was in perfect condition and there was instead an internal transmission issue. there was metal in the transmission fluid. They diagnosed further to see if this was a simple fix or if it would require an entire transmission replacement. The end result of this is that I would have spend over $1000 having McKay's replace parts that were not actually the cause of the original noise. I personally will not be stepping foot in this service department again. They have lost my trust in their ability as a service department. I would encourage others to form their own opinions, this is only my experience and I hope it is not common. Also, their hourly rates are significantly higher than the other local and semi-local options without the quality of service to back up the higher prices. EditDelete More

Elliot is excellent and fast on the quick oil change service and the entire service team from Joe, Don and Diane to Katie in the office have been awesome to work with. I recommend using them to everyone i know, whether it's buying a new or used car or getting service work done. More
I have been buying and servicing my vehicles from McKay's greater than 15 years. He does this so well, it seems innate. He advises me as to what services I will need for my vehicle. He upfront as to what I can expect for my bill. He is easy to work with and is reasonable and professional. He is what employers all want from an employee, hardworking, honest, and a type of person who sees his "glass as half full". I am very happy and satisfied that I buy my vehicles from McKay's, they've 'ALWAYS' taken care of me and my vehicles. I have 266,284 miles on my 2006 Mitsubishi, Eclipse, and this is only because McKay's and their mechanics have ALWAYS helped me take care of it. My goal is to have 1,000,000 miles on my vehicle and McKay's has given me a great start. McKay's has ALWAYS been there for me. More
Elliot has made going to McKay's for oil changes and service a very positive experience. He is always professional and personal. Always calls me by name. Elliot goes above and beyond...for example, when we had a serpentine pulley missing from our Dodge minivan (it apparently cracked and fell out somehow!) on a Saturday morning, Elliot quickly got on the phone with parts, checked to see if a mechanic could work on it right away, and had me driving home in the vehicle in about an hour and a half. This is exceptional service! More

I bought my Oldsmobile silhouette from a family member who serviced the van at Mckay's. They recommended that I bring it to Mckay's for service. Elliot and Joe are always very helpful and all the staff ar who serviced the van at Mckay's. They recommended that I bring it to Mckay's for service. We are planning on trading our van in on a new Dodge Journey this spring. Doug said that they are going to give me two years of free oil changes with our new Journey. Will always recommend Mckay's to anybody with any car to service at Mckay's. More
I went to McKays to buy a car. Found quite a selection of new and used cars. All of the staff was very welcoming and knowledgeable. Bought a used Jeep Wrangler and it came with free oil changes.
