Underwhelmed and very Disappointed Car guru alerted me that Edwards had a used Ford Explorer I was in the market for. I set up an appointment to look at the vehicle. When I arrived the Car guru alerted me that Edwards had a used Ford Explorer I was in the market for. I set up an appointment to look at the vehicle. When I arrived the description did not match the car, and the vehicle was not clean on the inside. The salesman had hours notice to prepare the car for a showing. The salesman had zero knowledge of the vehicle and had no idea how to show me this vehicle. I was immediately turned off and left the lot within minutes disappointed. Having struggled with finding what I was looking for, I contacted the salesman the next day and after some back and forth we agreed on a price and I came back to purchase the vehicle. I arrived excited, even though I was settling in the end for what I truly wanted and what was advertised. Again the salesman had zero knowledge of the vehicle. While I was not purchasing a Subaru (which I have owned in the past) I still expected the salesman to have knowledge of the car he was trying to sell. The car again, was not clean when I arrived. I was not looking for spotless, but I was at least hoping they could have taken the effort to clean out the empty water bottle in the center console. I sent the car back 3 times looking for this to happen and it NEVER did. At this point I probably should have not even purchased the vehicle. The car did not come with any floor mats, I was given 1 key, the sticker was showing 2K miles over for an oil change and I was driving off the lot with barely enough gas to make it to the gas station down the street. I asked about all of these items to which the salesman said, oh we only do those things for “new sales”. Maybe they do, but they also weren’t willing to do anything extra to make my purchasing experience amazing either. The salesman said he would contact me the following week to set up an oil change. At this point I am thinking if their detail department can’t get it right after 3 tries, what is their service department like? I had the vehicle serviced on my own to which my mechanic showed me a rather cool aftermarket feature the vehicle offered. Something I feel again, the salesman should have known about. I had done my homework on the vehicle I was looking for and sold the car to myself and the only reason Edwards made this sale was due to the fact that I was exhausted from my search. I contacted the salesman about an issue I noticed on the vehicle and asked if there was anything we could do about that. I have yet to receive a response, 3 days later. After reading all the amazing experiences others have received, I feel I missed out on what could have been an amazing experience. Instead I am left feeling disgusted and sad I spent my money at a place that did nothing to earn my business. I guess that is my fault though, but I won't make that mistake again. More
