I had an issue with my 2011 Jeep. I'm the only owner of it. I haven't even had it a year and already have had issues with it. I understand it's not the dealers fault but it is the service I received that r it. I haven't even had it a year and already have had issues with it. I understand it's not the dealers fault but it is the service I received that really made me upset. The passenger side back window would not roll up one day. Then when I went to try and roll down the other windows none of them would roll down. Eventually it would roll up and then all of a sudden wouldn't work. So I made an appointment with Baxter's Service Department. I dropped my Jeep off on a Wednesday morning at about 845. I didn't receive a phone call until 230 or so. I was told that it took them all day for my Jeep to do what I told them it was doing and that it did exactly what I said. My thought was duh. Anyway, they then told me that they think it's the motor for the window and that it would be ready for pick up at 5. Sweet was my thought. I get there at about 445 and ask if my Jeep is done. I'm told yes and no. I go what do you mean yes and no? They said yes it's put back together but no it's not fixed. It wasn't the motor that was wrong, but they knew I needed a vehicle because I had to work in the morning and they told me they weren't able to get me a rental. So I was like whatever and made an appointment for the next week. I dropped my Jeep off at 8:45 again the following Tuesday. I did not hear from Baxter until 4:00, to which I assumed they were calling to tell me my Jeep was done, boy was I wrong. They were calling to tell me that they needed to keep my Jeep overnight and that they thought the window problem was because of a wire short in the door and that they were working on the wiring harness and would have to remove the seats and carpet. Whatever was my thought just get it fixed. No rental at this point either. I'm also told that they will call me in the morning to give me an update, which I assume the morning means sometime in the A.M. hours. I call Baxter at 12:30 as I haven't heard anything. I'm told that they are tracking a wire to the engine but that they "will call me after lunch" to give an update. Now I was already not happy with the service department and this didn't settle too well. Finally, they call me at 2:00 and tell me that they will need it again overnight and that the part of the wiring harness that they replaced didn't fix the problem, but hey this time they will get me a rental and no cost to me. So I get a rental and they then call again at about 4:30 tell me that it isn't the wiring harness at all, but rather the window switch and my Jeep will be fixed early Thursday morning. Finally, they call Thursday morning that my Jeep is ready. I get my Jeep back and go to work. Once I arrive at work I notice that the carpet in the back isn't tucked in at all and my shift knob appears as if they took pliers or something with "teeth" to it and scratched my leather wrapped shift knob. I call Baxter immediately and explain what happened. I again drive out Friday morning to get things fixed. Which the distance to drive from my house to Baxter is about a 20 min drive each way. The carpet was an easy fix it was more of just an irritation that they didn't put it back the way it was. For the shift knob I was told that they thought they had one and that they were taking my Jeep back and for me to wait in the waiting area. Cool was my thought. 45 min later they come in to tell me that they had to order the part and that it would be in Monday or Tuesday. I simply ask why I've been waiting for 45 min for them to order a part. I'm told well we had to find out where we could order it from. Well it's Tuesday at 2:20 and I still haven't heard anything about my shift knob. I want to commend you Baxter on your Service Department as it must truly take skill to suck this bad. And I am trading my $36,000 Jeep in so I never have to deal with you guys again. You truly left a bad taste in my mouth and unfortunately I have recommended a lot of people your way as I loved the sales man I had. I won't make the mistake again of throwing any business your way. I live in Northwest Iowa, and had been looking into purchasing a Jeep Grand Cherokee for several weeks. We have several local dealerships and I had visited most of them over a three week period. Most o purchasing a Jeep Grand Cherokee for several weeks. We have several local dealerships and I had visited most of them over a three week period. Most of the dealerships had a good selection of vehicles, but I was not particularly impressed with the product knowledge, or pricing, at any of them. While looking for the Jeep online I came across a series of ads with the Jeep and options we wanted at Baxter Chrysler Jeep Dodge.... A day or so later I called Baxter Chrysler Jeep Dodge and got Harold Collins. We exchanged a few telephone calls...I found Harold to be extremely friendly and easy-going and very knowledgeable on the subject of Jeep Grand Cherokees. He answered all of my questions. Within a day or so we reached an agreement and I had a deal on a Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with the options I wanted that was quite a lot better than anything I found locally...actually getting a Limited for everyone else’s Laredo price. I've been in the independent automotive field along time and have never had a better experience than this. Thank You BAXTER CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE! More

We request Randy Hamling because he has always given us superior service with a personal touch. He is polite, professional, and knowledgeable. He genuinely enjoys helping people and clearly enjoys his job. From the first interaction, we didn't feel like a number, but rather a neighbor asking another for help. The second visit, Randy asked how the construction on our house was going (a detail that came out in our first meeting). It was so impressive that he cared enough to not only remember us, but what we had discussed outside of car maintenance. That level of personal service, resulting in a more personal relationship has been, in large part what has brought us back year after year. Baxter is lucky to have him! More
I went to Baxter looking for a great car, used but not damaged, and around my price range. Randall was friendly right from the get-go and he even answered his phone trying to help me once while he was hom damaged, and around my price range. Randall was friendly right from the get-go and he even answered his phone trying to help me once while he was home with his family. I have been there 3 times this week getting the car all finished with the licensing, etc. and everyone has been wonderful! The whole process of looking at my new car, going through the payment options, getting financed, and taking the car home with me only took 2 hours on my lunch break! I will be going here again for my next vehicle and I would reccommend anyone from Baxter anytime to my friends and my family! They are awesome! More
My wife and I, along with our 16 month old baby, went to Baxter to look into buying a new Ram truck. Earlier that day, I spoke with Mr. Crutcher and explained what type of truck I was looking for and set u Baxter to look into buying a new Ram truck. Earlier that day, I spoke with Mr. Crutcher and explained what type of truck I was looking for and set up an approximate time to see him that evening. When we arrived, he had already positioned two trucks for us to look at near the front of the lot. After we looked at those vehicles. He worked with us for several hours answering our questions and coordinating an agreement. He was both professional and friendly. I would definitely work with him again and recommend him to our friends and family. More
I live in Virginia, and had been looking into purchasing a Dodge Challenger for several months. We have several local dealerships and I had visited most of them over a three month period. Most of the dealer a Dodge Challenger for several months. We have several local dealerships and I had visited most of them over a three month period. Most of the dealerships had a good selection of vehicles, but I was not particularly impressed with the product knowledge, or pricing, at any of them. While perusing a Challenger-specific forum online I came across a series of posts relating to Baxter Dodge...basically a number of folks who had purchased their Challenger from Lee Brown at Baxter Dodge and were sharing their experiences. What caught my attention was that a fair number of these people were from states other than Nebraska. A day or so later I fired off an email to Lee. We exchanged a few emails and then a few telephone calls...I found Lee to be extremely friendly and easy-going and very knowledgable on the subject of Challengers. He answered all of my questions and sent me pictures and specs of the Challenger I was interested in. Within a day or so we reached an agreement and I had a deal on a Challenger with the options I wanted that was quite a bit better than anything I found locally...even taking into account the shipping costs. Once we got the ball rolling I was introduced to Charles Saxton, who guided me through all of the paperwork and titling issues, established a schedule for prep and delivery, and basically kept me up-to-date on the progress every step of the way. Any time I had a question Charles got back to me very quickly with the information I needed. So to make a long story short...my first email inquiry went out to Lee on March 16 and the Challenger was delivered via trailer directly to my driveway on April 7...fully prepped and spotless. And, as somewhat of a car nut, I was pleasantly surprised to find no dealership badging or stickers on the car, and no license plate bracket drilled into the front bumper. I will admit I was more than a bit nervous about purchasing a car sight unseen from a dealership 1200 miles away, but in hindsight this was one of the most stress-free car buying experiences I have ever had. I very much enjoyed working with Lee and Charles and I appreciate their enthusiasm and high level of professionalism...they are definitely "car guys". Needless to say, Baxter will be on my short list the next time I need to buy a car. Thanks guys! More
I just thought it was worth mentioning my recent experience at Baxter Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge in Omaha, NE. I had a glowing recommendation from several coworkers for Baxter and I am not disappointed in experience at Baxter Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge in Omaha, NE. I had a glowing recommendation from several coworkers for Baxter and I am not disappointed in my decision to go through Charles for my first new car in 7 years. Charles made the experience very easy and pressure free. I had done my research on pricing for the new 2012 Charger R/T Plus AWD and other options and after a very nice, thorough test drive with Charles I was quoted a price I couldn't walk away from. I intended on getting to this price after some negotiations based on past experience at other dealerships, but this was right out of the gate. I appreciate/appreciated that. Charles went above and beyond to locate a vehicle for me that was exactly to my specification and I couldn't be happier with the overall experience. I do want to comment on the test drive also. I have gone through the new car buying experience in the past, including a few other dealers prior to arriving at Baxter. None of the test drives I had been on with other dealerships were anything more than the typical drive around the block a little bit and then get asked 20 times how i liked the car and did I want to go inside and talk numbers. Charles and I went on a scenic 15-20 minute test drive through different road surfaces showing how the car reacted to all of them and let me take my time deciding. Again, appreciated. I went home that night and explained to my wife how great of an experience it was. Another thing to note is the other dealers/salesmen I had spoken to prior to Baxter did not seem to know or appreciate the product they were selling. I always ask at least a 'few' questions I know the answer to in advance to see if the salesman is 'worthy of my commission' and Charles was quick to answer, correctly, any/all questions I had about the Charger i was interested in. It just speaks to his interest in their products as he had an enthusiasts knowledge of the vehicles. A++ Charles :) You can put money on the fact that next time we are due for a new vehicle that I'll be going straight to Charles and the team at Baxter C/J/D. I have no complaints, this was the best car-buying experience i've had, to date. Thanks Charles, Lee, and the whole team at Baxter. More
