Lies to get your foot in the door I called less than a week ago about a purchasing a Chevrolet Spark and was given an amazing price over the phone and told to come see them. A salesman I called less than a week ago about a purchasing a Chevrolet Spark and was given an amazing price over the phone and told to come see them. A salesman immediately greeted me when I arrived and brought me back into his office so I could close on the deal I spoke about on the phone. I had a blank check and was not financing. I expected everything to go smoothly until his manager slid in to inform me that the vehicle I wanted had been recalled. From there it was pressure tactics to try and get me to buy another car that I did not need or want. Every sleazy sales tactic was used to try and pressure me into a car. First, I was told that a car was available that was not just to get my foot in the door. Secondly, I was kept waiting for an answer just to try and sell me into something I did not need. Finally, there was the arms folded hulking salesman to try and intimidate and pressure me. When I informed them I would not purchase from them I was only met with snobbery. They only cared about my money and when their scam sales tactics did not work they could not see me leave fast enough. There was no handshake, apology, thanks for coming by, walking me out, etc, it was just silence as he folded his arms and glared at me. I wasted several hours of my day because the dealership found it better to lie to me than be honest about their inventory. I ended up buying the exact car I needed at Adamson West in Bessemer. Do yourself a favor and do not believe any ads or information that Edwards Chevrolet on 280 tells you. It is all a ploy to get you in the door to try and take every penny. More
