A huge help that saved our vacation from a major headache. We had just pulled out of our hotel in a Saturday, when we noticed a loud squeaking noise coming from the rear wheels. My husband and I both said it s We had just pulled out of our hotel in a Saturday, when we noticed a loud squeaking noise coming from the rear wheels. My husband and I both said it sounded like an issue with the brakes. Our kids noticed a Chevy dealer just across the street. We pulled in hoping it was just some dust build-up or whatnot from the long drive the day before. The service staff managed to wiggle us into their schedule since we still had a long drive ahead of us and a check-in time at our final destination. It was a good thing they were able to check the rear brakes! Our parking brake had seized up and locked on. They were able to un-freeze the parking brake, but didn't have the part on hand to fix it. The temporary fix they were able to do had us on the road only about an hour behind schedule. They apologized for having to charge us for the time it took to inspect the issue. We were happy to pay for their time since they managed to squeeze us in when they could. I'm sorry, but I can't recall the gentleman in the service department that worked with us to get the problem resolved. The whole staff was very helpful and did a great job keeping our vacation intact, if you will. More
