They tell you to buy today because they have a 7 Day Money Back Guarantee -No questions asked! The paperwork is handed to you to sign and explained verbally as to what you are signing but done so quickly that you aren't able to read it. Never was it mentioned that they will keep the dealership fee of $495. Mike Steven you should be ashamed of these employees. More

They refused to come down on price (even though it books at over 1500$ less than what I paid, ultimately I should've walked out) and that car has spent more time sitting in my driveway than it has being useful. The first time it broke down, it was still in 30 day warranty, however they expected me to pay to tow it 60 miles and then still pay 50/50 for parts and labor which would've cost twice as much as if I paid someone local to just order the parts and come fix it. No return phone calls after they told us their manager would be in touch to try to come to a resolution. They will not do anything to help make a situation right once you sign papers. Horrible business. Now I'm upside down in a car that won't stay running. They take zero responsibility for customer dissatisfaction and place all the blame on customer ignorance. I've read responses to reviews and I'm appalled at how they cheat people and blame them for the mechanical problems. I will never go back and I will highly discourage anyone from doing business with them. More

Structural Frame Issues on "Certified" Pre-owned Vehicle Please read my UPDATE #3 below after acknowledging the dealership's response. I bought my car back in July of 2015. This was my first car purchase Please read my UPDATE #3 below after acknowledging the dealership's response. I bought my car back in July of 2015. This was my first car purchase ever and had done all of my research on the car I was looking at prior to heading to the dealership. I was able to get a reasonable price on the car given multiple back-and-forths amongst myself and the management at the dealership. First off, would like to say that our salesman, Nick, was a very kind salesman that wasn't too pushy and allowed me to make my own decision. He has called me several times since the purchase, following up on what I thought of the vehicle, how it was running, etc. This is good and all until they offer no help when things actually go wrong, which they did... Here are things that I have had replaced since buying the car: 1. Crack in the frame of the car, which resulted in water leaking from the windshield (windshield was replaced 2-3 times before it was noticed that the frame was compromised) 2. New battery - car died 2 weeks following the purchase (I shrugged this off since it was such a minor fix and is expected when purchasing a used car, although I would have assumed that a "good" and "respected" dealership would have replaced this prior to selling to a potential customer) 3. New tires (another problem I shrugged off, but maybe shouldn't have) As I have mentioned, this most recent problem (the windshield seal) was very poorly replaced in a prior windshield replacement and the clips were actually GLUED to the structure/frame of the car. I called Mike Steven's Volkswagen only to find out that "they couldn't have possibly known of this problem" and that I would have to eat the cost to replace. Moreover, it just so happens that the warranty that I purchased (the most expensive and comprehensive warranty, "Platinum") through them has not been "Platinum" whatsoever and has not covered any of these problems. So when deciding whether to purchase a car through Mike Steven's, or some other dealership in town, I hope that this review has made you think twice about (or confirmed) your decision. UPDATE: messages that I left for the general managers were not returned following the complaint about the windshield; funny how their attitude and professionalism has changed... UPDATE #2:The car I bought from Mike Steven's VW is a lemon. Fair and square. No matter what comments they have in response to my previous post, I wouldn't trust them. My humble opinion. Water is still leaking through the upper right hand corner of the windshield. The mechanics have tried just about everything and I have wasted over $1000 in the process. If you want to buy a used vehicle, I would suggest a dealership that would be willing to work with you after the purchase and would attempt to find a fair solution for both parties, rather than telling me "I wish there was a Better Business Bureau for our customers" straight from the mouth of the sales manager. If you want a sales manager that respects their customers, other places may be a better fit. A car purchase is not just a product, but an experience. My experience during the purchase (as one can imagine) was great; after the fact, it has been everything but. Most dealerships would be willing to hear out the customer, because they care about their customers. Mike Stevens only cares about their bottom line and that is quite apparent in my experience. UPDATE #3: The water that was leaking through the upper part of the windshield is resulting from frame damage to the car that had been there since I bought the car. The mechanics stated that in order to permanently fix the leak, they would need to re-weld the frame of the car. "Certified, pre-owned" apparently means nothing when they sell cars that have structural frame issues. More

Honesty and Integrity at its best! This is our second purchase from Steven Volkswagen, and by far the best experience we have had. Our salesperson, Don, had our car waiting and warmed up when we arrived for our appointment. During the test drive he explained all of the new features, as we were upgrading from a 2014 Passat to a 2017. He was very knowledgeable and answered every question thoroughly, and if he didn't know the answer, he found it for us. He made the process as seamless as possible. We were also exercising our buyback option on our 2014, and Don explained the entire process in terms that made sense to us. I would definitely recommend Don and Steven VW for your next new or used car purchase. You won't be disappointed! More

Not the place for quality Maintenance but they are a nice First let me say I love the two VW's I own but after my recent experience with both VW of America and two dealerships, Northtowne in Kansas City and S First let me say I love the two VW's I own but after my recent experience with both VW of America and two dealerships, Northtowne in Kansas City and Stevens in Wichita I will be turning in the Jetta this fall and I will be looking to dump the Touareg when the opportunity presents itself. A car is of little worth if the dealers cannot properly maintain it and VW does not recognize the critical nature of that relationship. After 95K my water pump failed in the Treg, not bad service from a water pump. It happen while in Wichita so I made an appointment for a replacement, if you haven't priced one yet the total is over 650$.. four times what an domestic car would cost. The part was not in stock anywhere in America and VW agreed to compensate partially for the inconvenience of having to leave my car in Wichita while Stevens acquired to part and replaced it. That new pump failed in two weeks then consecutively three more pump failures or leaks over the next few months. Kindly VW of America said they would replace them for free, are you kidding me? The representative at VW of America seriously thought they were doing me a favor by replacing a pump that had been installed improperly or failed 4 times. The one from Stevens leaked, the three that Northtowne installed all leaked, once they didn't tighten three of the 6 bolts and they fell out and the other times either the pumps failed or it was also improperly torqued. This last time it was installed be another dealer in south KC and the jury is still out. I currently have a def tank heater that has failed, another 650 dollar price tag. Just replaced the brakes for 950 dollars and on my visit to Stevens they told me I'd need brakes soon as there was only 5mm left on the pads, I said that can't be I juts replaced them less then 10k ago,,.. turns out after a recheck at another dealer I have 9mm and 100 mm so what happened there? gave that one to VW of America and along with he other service failures they had nothing to say.... You make your choice, for me VW has seen the last of my money. More
