I had my car in for repair of a recall problem. I scheduled it with reference to this recall. When I got there, my car was kept (valet service was very appreciated!) for roughly 2 hours. During that time, my car was inspected and I was informed that I could pick it up (again with valet service) but that they had to order the parts and I would have to return when parts were received. I was told the replacement part was one of two available models. Since mine is not the only car being recalled, it would seem that at least one of each model could be available in stock. It would also seem that this would mitigate the impact of the recall on shop time as well as the other services involved with intake of any vehicle (service agent, valet, and other customers presently their car for any service!
