All I had was the blessing of a fixed-in-place five grand, begged and borrowed cash, to work with. And everything was riding on it: without a car sturdy enough to take one to two years heavy use, no lousy tip-desperate job delivering things in order to shore up the income shortfall was gonna be possible. But how do you get that when you're only working with Five Thou?... You step up to Ed Voyles, that's how. And to David Morson and Dave Pilgrim in Pre-Owned, in particular. Me, I laid the story on the line. No melodramatics, no theater; just truth: "I'm here in order to survive. I have almost no good experience with car dealerships. And I'm exhausted. This is all the money I have, I have to live on it too, and time is running out. Help me look out for me right now, and, someday, when I'm safe and solvent, I will be back to thank you by buying from you brand spanking New..." I meant it, and, folks, they listened. Hearts opened, and possibilities along with it. The price of a nice Camry came down, the rattle bucket I drove in with was generously valued to give me some more buy room, and my desperate, scared-to-spend promise to myself "not to say 'yes' to anything today" vanished in a quiet storm of grace--All utterly without the manipulation, emotion games, and psy-ops car dealer crappola that we, each and every one of us who ever buys a car, let's admit it, Fears. I was amazed. And oh so grateful. I, for one, will be back. I promised, and they earned it. More

Harvey went above and beyond professional and courteous. He communicated every step of the way through drop off, diagnosis, and ready for pick up. He seemed to sincerely want to make me comfortable. I was happy that he made sure I could get a ride on the Courtesy Shuttle, then thrilled when he went out of his way to find a return ride back to the shop once the repair was done, but just after the regular shuttle driver had left for the day. I honestly wasn't expecting that. Shuttle driver, Charles, was also very personable. With another passenger in the shuttle, we had a lively discussion, as opposed to "elevator silence". Overall it was a great experience, and not one I was accustomed to with other dealer service centers. Thank you, Marvin!!! More
