He was very informative and enthusiastic about the Dodge Charger. I was going to test drive other vehicles but after talking with him, I really was sold on the Charger! I also felf very comfortable with steve Goins. Usually I always feel nervous when dealing with the financial side of it, but he put me at ease and was very couteous and proffessional. I had submitted information on the Jeep Wrangler I was looking for on cars.com and Josh was one among many to contact me. He had a Jeep in stock that was very close. He was able to arrange to have leather looking for on cars.com and Josh was one among many to contact me. He had a Jeep in stock that was very close. He was able to arrange to have leather seats and seat heaters added (the car had cloth seats). Using my affiliate discount (through Microsoft) was a breeze. While at the dealership signing the paperwork, Josh discovered that we qualified for an additional $1000 discount on the Jeep because of a magazine subscription we had. He discovered this all on his own without me asking (I didn't even know it existed) and after the paperwork was signed. He could have just kept the $1000 but I felt he went above and beyond to find this additional discount. Also, before the purchase, I spent some time talking to Jeremy Cloud who seems to know as much or more about Jeeps as anyone I've ever talked to. More
I purchase a new car about once every ten years, so I'm not skilled at the process. Don made it very easy though and was a pleasure to do business with. Highly recommended! not skilled at the process. Don made it very easy though and was a pleasure to do business with. Highly recommended! More
I was shopping for a Jeep Wrangler a couple of weeks ago and knew I had an affiliate discount through The Home Depot. The sales person was extremely helpful and gave me some great information on the Jeep. H and knew I had an affiliate discount through The Home Depot. The sales person was extremely helpful and gave me some great information on the Jeep. He priced it out and it was roughly $3,000 less than the sticker price. There we no other offers on the Jeep when I was at the dealership. When I got home I researched the jeep and saw that there was now a discounted price of $6,000 from the sticker price. Coincidentally, the manager Jamie Laverde sent me a message asking if I had the info I needed fro the salesperson. I indicated that I had received excellent help from the salesperson but asked about the $6,000 sale. He indicated that it was a sale that had just started on Patriots Day and lasted through the end of September. When I was in a few days later, I was informed that the price on the lease was actually $5,500 savings. The $6,000 discount was good only on sales and not on leases. Nowhere on their website did i see that information. I was also told that it could not be combined with The Home Depot Discount. I went ahead and leased it. The week after I took delivery of the Jeep, I received an email from my salesperson asking for my affilaite number. I reminded him that I did not use the Home Depot discount because I was told I could not use it. He remembered that and then asked for me to drop of my business card for his files. I then received a very direct and stern email from Jamie Laverde asking that I drop off my proof of employment by the end of the week for Ally bank. This was the bank that the dealer had set up for the lease. This was 13 days after I had signed off on my lease. I called my salesperson and asked why I was receiving the email. He indicated that this is sometimes required and I should have been informed. I never was. I made arrangements to drop off the proof of employment the next day, Saturday September 29th. After I had dropped off my paperwork, I was showing my son some of the other Jeeps in the lot and I then received the email below congratulating me for my affiliates control number while we were still in the lot. I saw that at the bottom of the congratulations email below, that this affiliate discount may indeed be combined with other offers. I also went to The Home Depot associate discounts and saw that there were multiple feedback postings from employees who have used this program indicating that this was a great deal and could be combined with other offers. My issue is that I did not complete the information required to have received this email as I was told I could not use it. It was done by the dealership and I feel it was totally inappropriate. I feel they are engaging in deceptive practices and are either looking to take credit for an affiliates sale or looking to somehow get reimbursement from Chrysler. Whatever they are doing, it is not right that they are doing this and completing the requirements needed to register me without my knowledge. The other bigger issues is that, I feel that I was misled and overcharged for the jeep and would like this issue resolved. Please have someone contact me to discuss this as I have left a message and attempted to call Drew Tutton the general manager several times today and he has now left for the day. More
This has been the worst buying experience of my life and I am not a young man and I haved owned many vehicles. The initial selection experience was great and we liked Jose Santacruz very much and thought he I am not a young man and I haved owned many vehicles. The initial selection experience was great and we liked Jose Santacruz very much and thought he was great to deal with - we still like him, but the poor guy must be the most misinformed man on the planet. We bought a 2011 Dodge Ram on Sept 15. Within a week or so I inquired about when we would recieve the title - what the process was and how far along are we. I was told that they had not recieved the proceeds of our loan and I needed to call the bank. I thought that was odd, since I had already recieved payment and account information from the bank. I called the bank and was told exactly when the dealership recieved the funds - days before Jose told me they didn't have it. As time dragged on, I could never get any clear explantaion concerning the title process or paperwork flow. As I became concerned that my GA temporary tag would expire before I could get the truck titled in North Carolina, Jose told me that when the GA temp tag expired I could just take the GA temp tag to an NC DMV office and they would give me a temporary NC tag. When pressed Jose quickly confirmed this to be false, but said they could send me another temporary GA tag if needed. On Sept 28, Jose told me that the title paperwork had been sent to North Carolina and I would recieve "something" in the mail from them "next week". (Both would turn out to be false - nothing had yet been sent and the process doesn't work like that - NC DMV does not send something in the mail) On Oct 10, having still not recieved any further word on the title process, I called Jose to inquire about exactly what had been sent where and when. He said he would check and get back to me. I reminded him that the temporary GA tag expired in 5 days and he said they would go ahead and send us another one. On Oct 11 I had not heard from Jose - unable to reach him, I called the dealership and asked for finance manager Brandon Geiger. He told me to call "Gayle" in tag and title "at the Honda store" and gave me the number. Whoever answered the phone there did not know who "Gayle" was, but after I explained what I needed I talked to someone else who told me the paperwork had been sent to a local DMV office in Charlotte on Tuesday Oct 9 and recieved and signed for at that office on Oct 11. He said they would have my contact information and they should call me when they were ready for me to come get a tag. Having had experience with the NC DMV and that office in particular, and observing that this left me only Thursday afternoon, Friday, and Monday to get the truck registered in NC before the GA temp tag expired, I commented that I would certainly need another temporay tag. I was then told this couldn't be done and if someone at the dealership told me otherwise, i was just going to have to call that person back. I called Brandon Geiger. He told me they had done their part, the paperwork was there before Oct 15 and I should just go get my NC tag. I tried to explain that, knowing that particular office as I did, I was pretty sure they weren't going to be ready for us and we only had 2 business days left before the GA tag expired and we couldn't very well just close our businees, quit our jobs and just run down there. Brandon repeated that they had done their part and stated it wasn't his fault that we lived in North Carolina. We did go to the DMV office this morning (Oct 12) and they did have our paperwork and were actually able to find it. Unfortunately, they told us we would not be able to register the vehicle today because the dealership had sent incorrect sales tax - they sent 4% and it should be 3%. They said they could not accept a check for an incorrect amount - they would have to send this check back and the dealership would have to send another for the correct amount. (Flashback to Sept 15 - the sale was originally written with 3% sales tax - when we sat down in Finance Manager Brandon Geiger's office, we found it had been changed to 4% - when asked why it was more, Brandon's response was "well its 4% because thats what we're charging you" - I didn't think much about it at the time, but it certainly reflects the same attitude as "It's not my fault you live in North Carolina") When we got home from the DMV, I spoke to Finance Director Jeff Barber at the dealership. He says he will overnite a corrected check to the DMV office - I presume he will also overnite me a check for the difference we are clearly owed by the dealership. He said he was sorry we had this experience but they couldn't possibly sell as many cars as they do if the treated everybody like this. He also said they sell cars out of state all the time, including NC, and he has never had anything like this happen and he doesn't think they could possibly have gotten the sales tax wrong. In other words, they are selling so many cars they couldn't possibly be doing anything wrong - it must be me or the DMV office. I find this, and Jeff's demeanor on the phone, to be rather arrogant. The bottom line is that Ed Voyles CDJ is a BIG volume dealership. The customer should not expect these busy people to take the time to verify the answer to any question you might have - they are too busy. Got a problem with that? Too bad - it must be you - they have other customers waiting they can sell to, so it doesn't matter to them. And, if you are from outside the state of Georgia, don't even think about buying a car here unless you are prepared to park it for a while after your GA tag expires or you don't mind driving around for awhile with that expired GA temp tag. Remember its YOUR fault that you live where you do and Ed Voyles CDJ has done their part when they took your money - after that its your problem. More
