unethical business practice **Please Read before you buy from here** let me start by saying I was buying this car for my 62 year old mother. I don't know if I should thank **Please Read before you buy from here** let me start by saying I was buying this car for my 62 year old mother. I don't know if I should thank them for exposing the many illegal/unethical ways a dealer can screw hard working citizens out of money, because ironically I learned a TON from this horrible experience. 1. They started the deal by offering me a 2018 CPO jeep with a "clean" Carfax. after wiring the down payment I researched the car more on autocheck and found a accident with case number. They acted surprised and had the audacity to try to get me to sign MY own autocheck report saying They informed me of the accident prior to the contract, which I refused (this is shady unethical business practice) 2. "The finance guy" (Jim Collins) ran the credit application and initially came back in writing with a quote of a 8.4% interest rate from Chrysler capital (in writing) I declined that offer and was walking out then the presented me with a 7.99% rate (in writing) due to my moms credit profile we decided to agree with that rate, while drawing up the contract he up-sold me a third party "warranty" for $1800 telling me he could use his profit from the warranty to "buy down" the rate to 5.99% (in writing). Initially I thought it made sense because it would save me more than $1800 in interest so I initially agreed BUT prior to signing the contract I thought to myself... why would a bank finance more money for a lower interest rate with less collateral??? So this is when I learned about *Buy Rates-(the Real rate the bank will give you) and *Dealer reserve(the amount the bank allows the dealer to increase that rate for there own profit) and also the LAWS and regulations set by finance companies and the consumer finance protection board to protect minorities and women (which my mom is both) from unfair credit/dealer practices. Chrysler capital in particular has a dealer reserve cap of 175 points (1.75%). After Finding this out I called Chrysler capital and got the actual buy rate for this deal I told them I do not want the crappy third party warranty and Jim collins aggressively told me "well we are putting you rate back to 7.99%. I guess after I asked to explain to me why that made sense he realized I was on to the scam. and he called back stating he sent out contract without the warranty for the 5.99 rate thought while he was just going to "eat" the $1800 cost because it would appear that the dealership was selling third party products by manipulation interest rates.(which he did)! Now I have All three Versions of these contracts in hand, saved and all the conversations saved, I Also have the actual buy rate from Chrysler Captial (in writing) which Mr.Collins refused to tell me when I called him out on the warranty thing, I won't disclose it on this review because this WILL go to the consumer finance protection board, Chrysler capital, the state of GA and a really good consumer finance lawyer because im 100% sure me and my mother were discriminated against while Mr. collins tried to profit off of what he thought was an uneducated black kid and his mother. 3. the car came with only one key and needed a alignment 4. its been over a month and they still haven't sent the paperwork to DMV for plates the only good thing about this deal was the sales person (Andrew Todd) he did what any car sales person would do but he was professional and responsive he is the only reason we bought this car. if it was just me I would not care or take it this far but you tried to screw over my mother. 2019 Jeep Wrangle Rubicon I just purchased a new 2019 top of the line Rubicon and I it has been a nightmare to deal with. I purchased the Jeep before the jeep was on the lot a I just purchased a new 2019 top of the line Rubicon and I it has been a nightmare to deal with. I purchased the Jeep before the jeep was on the lot at the assurance that the jeep would be new. The only reason I waited was the I wanted the one touch top. The jeep finally arrived after almost two week after purchase. The Jeep door was badly damaged and required the entire door to be replaced. I allowed them to fix it and the repairs looked Okay. I pick the jeep up all excited .. Well when I got there the Auto Start caution light was on the sales man assured me that it would go off after the battery has charged and it never has gone off after over 3000 Miles. I now have the Auto start light that won't turn off and also my entire dash is blacking out. I proceed to take the jeep back to get it repaired and leave the Jeep and take a rental car... I finally get the jeep back super excited after almost two hour drive to get it back again... well I get in the jeep and the auto start light is still on. In my disgust I drive the Jeep back home because I have wasted another day driving back to get it. I now have the issues with auto start and the door that received the attention is now not closing right and as I'm driving down the road and the vehicle says the key faub has left the vehicle ...I assume that the issues with the key faub why my jeep auto locked my doors with both keys were in the vehicle. at this point after spending $55,000 buck I'm kinda disgusted so today April the 16 2019 I drive the Jeep over to them to drop it off to get it fixed. When i got there they informed me that they did not have rentals. Keep in mind, I had previously had two loaner vehicles while my new Jeep was being repaired! This time they accuse me of damaging one of the loaner vehicles to the point that it had to be repainted. And advised the other vehicle they ha loaned me that I had driven it too many miles. NEWS to ME! I never damaged one of their vehicles and yes, I do drive a lot of miles as I am a real estate broker. But to stoop to this level of making false accusations and to receive such poor customer service, I would advise you to stay away from this dealership! They do not care about their customers!! They only want your money!! More
