Always have to remind of warranty I ALWAYS have to tell them that I have a 100,000 mile extended warranty with a vanishing deductible that I got when I bought the car. It just gets frustrating when I have to tell them every time I take the car in for something. Other than that they have been terrific. Very nice and helpful and have my ride to work and back in a timely manner. More
Very good mechanics. Missed a few things at the front desk. My Lincoln town car had the air shocks get stuck in the fully inflated position and I needed to bring the car in without an appointment. They were very nice to try to get me in but weren't able to see the car until the second day. I have a Ford warranty that I purchased from the Ford dealer where I bought the car. Shults has done some warranty work on the car in the past. When I mentioned the warranty when I brought the car in, the guy at the front desk saw it. The next day after they got the car in and diagnosed it and they called my wife (I was on a trip with a rental car at that point) and when she mentioned the warranty they said the couldn't find any warranty (same guy). She called me and I told her to call him back and tell them they have done warranty work in the past and she called them back and then he found it. At that point they said they needed to order a part and would probably get it in the next day and should be able to get the car fixed then. My wife called late the next morning close to noon and got a different guy at the desk to see if they had the part and the guy who answered the phone said they did (they guy at the desk who was working with us was busy at that point). We waited and didn't hear from them and so my wife called in the middle of the afternoon and talked to the original guy at the desk and asked if it was done and he said they didn't have the part yet and we'd have to wait another day. When my wife said they did have the part because she had called earlier the guy checked and in fact they did have the part. At that point they worked us in and got the car fixed that day (thank you!). So there were a few mix ups at the front desk (but they were very polite!). Having said that, a little less than a year ago, I had the car in many times (routine and other) and the front desk was fantastic - a guy named Chris and a blonde haired girl (I think her name was Nicole) were always on and they were both fantastic! One other negative is sometimes their parts can be a little on the expensive side. However, we have the Shuts advantage plan and that is a great value! I love that they have the shuttle for the Shults advantage folks and we love the Shults advantage plan!!! So I am 95% positive. The men in the service department were friendly and courteous. We were sent to the waiting room. 30 minutes later our car was still waiting in the parking lot. We inquired as to when our car would be serviced. We were told it would be soon. 15 minutes later our car was still in the parking lot. As we had a scheduled appt. we expected to be "in and out" of there in a timely fashion. We got our keys and left. We then went to the new "oil change" facility on Rte. 394 and were immediately taken care of. Lesson learned... More
