Edward W. Napleton, opened his first automotive business in 1931 on Chicago's South Side. With a $700 loan, a strong work ethic and a belief in common courtesy, he opened the Napleton Buick Service Station. Francis Napleton, Edward's son, was by his side to help foster the growth of the young business in its early years.
Napleton's first dealership was a DeSoto franchise, and when that brand was discontinued with little warning, Napleton quickly aligned itself with another Chrysler nameplate, Plymouth, eventually being awarded several additional franchises. Edward and Francis both believed in hard work and exceptional customer service, values that they passed down to the next generation of Napletons. Five of Francis' eight children have worked in the auto business their entire lives.
Edward F. ("Ed") Napleton, Francis' son, is a third-generation auto dealer. He began his career as a kid sweeping the floors at the dealership owned by his father and grandfather. He moved up the ranks, serving as a technician, then in sales and finance, and eventually as a general manager. At just 23 years of age, Ed became the youngest car dealer in the United States when he was awarded a Pontiac dealership in Blue Island, Illinois.
Today the Napleton Family operates more than 50 dealerships in four states. What started as a small family-owned business has blossomed into one of the most forward-thinking dealership groups in the country.
Ed's business has grown to include 31 franchises - housed in 15 different locations - in three states. He owns domestic, import and high line franchises, and employs more than 1000 people throughout Illinois, Florida and Missouri. Four of Ed's five children have proudly joined him in pursuing the family business and have a hand in the company's day-to-day operations.

Set up a appointment for 9:45 Saturday morning got there early as soon as service advisor said who’s the vehicle owner for Infiniti there is a 3 to 4 hour wait. Remember that I was changed almost $2000.00 for their service contract that I was not told they had already included in auto sale and still can’t get vehicle service there because if you have to wait after setting up appointment days in advance Is a waste of time people also work and have a life and it doesn’t include hanging out a dealership half a day for a oil change. After purchasing a used car from Ed Napleton Honda, I received numerous phone calls informing me that the car sold to me was never inspected by Ed Napleton Honda. I setup an appointment for 10 am on one received numerous phone calls informing me that the car sold to me was never inspected by Ed Napleton Honda. I setup an appointment for 10 am on one of the following days. On the day of my appointment, I called to confirm the time and was told that no appointment was in their system by two separate representatives. I am underwhelmed by the service at by Ed Napleton Honda for two reasons. The dealership put the burden on me to drop the car off for an inspection that was supposed to be performed prior to selling the car, and when an appointment was made, the appointment never made it into their system to ensure my time and their time was not wasted. I am glad I called to confirm instead of driving an hour to get there to be told I didn't have an appointment. I will not be purchasing another car from any Napleton Group dealership. More
