Edward W. Napleton, opened his first automotive business in 1931 on Chicago's South Side. With a $700 loan, a strong work ethic and a belief in common courtesy, he opened the Napleton Buick Service Station. Francis Napleton, Edward's son, was by his side to help foster the growth of the young business in its early years.
Napleton's first dealership was a DeSoto franchise, and when that brand was discontinued with little warning, Napleton quickly aligned itself with another Chrysler nameplate, Plymouth, eventually being awarded several additional franchises. Edward and Francis both believed in hard work and exceptional customer service, values that they passed down to the next generation of Napletons. Five of Francis' eight children have worked in the auto business their entire lives.
Edward F. ("Ed") Napleton, Francis' son, is a third-generation auto dealer. He began his career as a kid sweeping the floors at the dealership owned by his father and grandfather. He moved up the ranks, serving as a technician, then in sales and finance, and eventually as a general manager. At just 23 years of age, Ed became the youngest car dealer in the United States when he was awarded a Pontiac dealership in Blue Island, Illinois.
Today the Napleton Family operates more than 50 dealerships in four states. What started as a small family-owned business has blossomed into one of the most forward-thinking dealership groups in the country.
Ed's business has grown to include 31 franchises - housed in 15 different locations - in three states. He owns domestic, import and high line franchises, and employs more than 1000 people throughout Illinois, Florida and Missouri. Four of Ed's five children have proudly joined him in pursuing the family business and have a hand in the company's day-to-day operations.

Positive experience Mutaz was super helpful. Gave me much better deal than Honda in Orland Park (I could give them the worst note because of Community Honda's manager - S Mutaz was super helpful. I have a new car. Took more time than I expected because of the lady in finance department (and she was the only one person I would change there) but they didn't force me to buy a car as in other dealerships. If I need a car right now I would go to Mutaz again. More

Knows how to make an angry customer happy! Initially when my family and I walked into the dealership, we had no intent of purchasing a new vehicle. We were having trouble with a previous used v Initially when my family and I walked into the dealership, we had no intent of purchasing a new vehicle. We were having trouble with a previous used vehicle we purchased from Ed Napleton Honda and we were brought over from the service department to sales. We were not very happy with the conditions being placed on our old car and we didn't have a lot of cash to spend on repairs, let alone another vehicle. That's when Monica stepped in and offered her help to us. She helped us find something that would be close to the same payment as the old car and a newer model. In fact, the car she sold us was a brand new 2018 honda civic lx! She was extremely kind and helpful and lead us in the right direction with her suggestions. She allowed me to take the car out on a test drive and it was perfect! I almost love it at as much as my old car, a 2009 honda accord coupe ex-l with a v6 engine. In terms of speed, they are almost exactly alike. I really wish I would have met her when purchasing my first vehicle from Honda. She would have been a huge help. Monica knew my family and I were upset about our situation in the service department, but this did not deter her from providing us great customer service and being a wonderful sales representative with a positive attitude and a remarkable knowledge about vehicles. She knows her stuff! She turned a bunch of angry customers into very satisfied ones with huge smiles on their faces. Thank you so much for being there for us and being an awesome salesperson, Monica! Honda is lucky to have such a wonderful addition to their team! More

Bad customer service when buying a used car. Horrible customer service. my husband and I were waiting on a car to be fixed so we could buy it. But in the process the dealer sold the car for $200 Horrible customer service. my husband and I were waiting on a car to be fixed so we could buy it. But in the process the dealer sold the car for $2000 less and did not even have a manager contact us to see if we wanted to reselect and tell us that the car had been sold. Anyone buying a car here should proceed with caution. I will tell all my friends and family not to buy a car here!! More
