Contacted Samantha and she connected with her Used Car Manager, Carlos to sell a Certified Cadillac Escalade. When we asked for a Buyers Order, they decided to increase the price by 1495.00 and would not explain another 699.00 fee for registration also attached. The buyers order clearly showed registration, tags, licensing, and taxes separately as well as the rather large dealer prep/handling fee we approved. Samantha then replied that we were only 1200.00 difference, which clearly incorrect. She also suggested they cannot price a car and sell a car the same day, they need time to properly inspect the unit. So either they are selling "certified" units that truly have not been certified prior to advertisement, or they are looking to wait for wholesalers to price their used units first and low ball the client. (We provided written verification of pricing available at CarMax and Carvana for our trade) . We were willing to leave some meat on the used SUV, and even do financing for a small amount with dealer so they would profit on all ends of the sale. Clearly it was not enough to cover Samantha and Carlos commissions, so they decided to play the old school car selling games. (The General Manager was NO better) I would warn that the dealer already also charges a 999.00 dealer prep fee. That's pure profit for doing what they already need to do in order to sell cars. We even agreed to that fee in addition to the agreed pricing for Escalade purchase. They still chose to add the CPO fee back in afterwards, In 2021, even not taking Covid into thought, there is no need to low ball clients and demand they visit for hours and repeat visits to simply purchase a car. A retail sale should be fast, efficient, client service based, and truly putting the client first. This brings good reviews, repeat business, referrals, servicing, and quality surveys. The employees we worked with lacked empathy, integrity, and honesty. The old school car selling games remain here at Ed Morse Delray Cadillac. I would currently never consider using Samantha , Ed Morse Automotive Group, nor the Delray Cadillac location now, or in the future. More
Bought a turned in lease 2017 XT5 mint cond 22,000 miles on 9/30/2020. I have been back to service department 7 xs!! 3 loaners. The sideview mirror needed replacing, was sticking Supposedly put new one on 9/30/2020. I have been back to service department 7 xs!! 3 loaners. The sideview mirror needed replacing, was sticking Supposedly put new one one only to drive and have mirror fall out of it lock in handle fell out ac compressor replaced now wireless charger doesn’t work took it back had car for 2 1/2 days picked it up still dosen t work!!!! The inconvenience of having to go back AGAIN this car has an extended warranty for 3 more yrs + 100,000 miles and no it’s not costing me to fix it but the 171 Pt inspection that all was ok with it is a joke now I have to take it back again. My other Cad I turned in had it 6 yrs never had a problem just routine service. They don t make cars like they use too. Not a happy camper More
I want to give recognition to Rosa, the Collision Center Mgr. My car was in the collision center for over 4 months because of a part availability issue. Normally you have to call to speak with the mgr in any other company but she kept me in the loop of everything that was going on. Because of her empathy of what was going on and myself not having a car, Rosa was able to influence management to put me in a loaner car until the issue was resolved. She also was quite the salesperson as she tried to help me purchase a different vehicle because my car was deemed a total loss. Rosa is a major asset to this company and I will continue to come to her department if I ever need to as well as recommend her if I knew someone that needed that type of service. Her leadership will always gain her loyal customers and loyal customers drive sales!!!!! Thanks Rosa More
July 2020 brought car to adjust pulling to right. Also service recommended by technicians. Then brought back for reprogramming. Again Rosa, Joe, Justin, And Alex managed to get the service done right on t service recommended by technicians. Then brought back for reprogramming. The other important factor is the prompt response over the telephone. They answer the calls and call back as needed, this is a great deal for me due to the distance to get to the shop.
