Below is a summary of my experience at Ed Morse at Delaray. However, I was contacted by the General Manager of the dealearship, Richard Denahy (in response to my post through this service). He was v Delaray. However, I was contacted by the General Manager of the dealearship, Richard Denahy (in response to my post through this service). He was very curteous and listened to my complaints. He apologized for the experience, and was not at all defensive. He seems to get the adage that the customer is always right. More importantly, he refunded all of charges, and is sending a check to cover the expenses at the other shop. I feel very few managers would do this. So Mr.Denahy represented the dealership very well and was very professional. I am 45 years old and have never received such lousy service at a dealership or any type of auto repair shop. Firstly, my appointment time was scheduled an hour later than what I was told so I waited an additional hour for service while Mr. Fagen was at lunch. When I first arrived I was told by a service person named Randall that my 2003 CTS looked great, especially for its age, but was basically junk because it was based off the catera platform so, "it's just an opel", he said. When Mr. Fagan arrived they put the car in and an hour later diagnosed the car as having throttle body problems, and said it also needed a new sepentine belt. They said it would need a new throttle body and fuel filter for $1,328.00 and a new belt for $149.00. I looked at the belt and authorized them to install the new one. I asked what exactly was wrong with the throttle body and Mr. Fagen couldn't give me a straight answer, so he went and asked a tech and came back telling me a sensor was bad in the unit and it could no longer re-learn. I decided to take it elsewhere for a second opinion. I and asked them to clear the check engine code before we left, to see if it would re-code. Another gentleman (didn't get the name) hatefully told me they couldn't clear the code because, "I didn't want it fixed." In total, I was there for 4 hours (they had to get the belt from somewhere else because it wasn't in stock), and even the cashier was rude. She never smiled, mentioned our name, or so much as said thank you when we paid. In summary, 4 hours, smart alec comments, poor service, condecending attitudes, and the lack of even basic customer service. I luckily found German Auto World and Joe Barmichael. No new throttle body needed, just a bad connection that he repaired, and the car is back to normal. So on top of it all they were going to perform service not needed, with an expensive part not needed for over $1,300, and not even be courteous while doing so. More
I cannot say enough good things about this dealership. Ironically, I never even thought I could afford a new Cadillac. I had originally gone into Delray Kia across the street from Cadillac and had such a horrible experience there with the "bait and switch" tactics and game playing, that I drove across the street to the Cadillac dealership just to calm down! After a short time, I decided to go inside and inquire about any 2012 SRX leftovers. I had the great fortune to work with Cathy Iacoviello who, although was on her way out, put her things down immediately to take me out back to see the available cars, even though I had no prior appointment. Cathy was extremely knowledgeable about the car and was a pleasure to deal with. She took me on a test drive where I promptly fell in love with the SRX! It was unbelievable to me that for a few thousand dollars more than I was going to spend on a Kia, I could actually own a Luxury Cadillac. John Catalano, New car Mgr, was also wonderful and helped me locate the perfect car for me, a beautiful Red SRX Luxury Edition with sunroof, beautiful leather interior and wood accents. Patty Lowe, the Business Mgr, made the car buying process painless and although she does go over the available packages, there is definitely NO high pressure sales tactics. I felt important to them, and it was obvious everyone is happy working there as every single associate I passed was happy and smiling. I couldn't be happier with my experience with them, and with my beautiful new car. This is the only dealership I will ever use. Cathy was awesome. I have purchased over 20 cars in my life and she was OUTSTANDING! She came and picked me up at my office after I was done with work. I was then able to drive the car home and surpris life and she was OUTSTANDING! She came and picked me up at my office after I was done with work. Bernard Zuccarro was the most outstanding salesman I have ever worked with. He was so patient with all our questions and went beyond the call of duty. We also dealt with Patty in the Financing Dept. She was as pleasant as can be explaining all the forms and the additional options we had. She was so patient and accomodating as well. All the employees such as the receptionist, sales manager were all so friendly and welcoming and helpful. Ed Morse is an outstanding dealership. We met 2 men in the service dept. and they were very quick to tell us that we can come by anytime for a car wash. I was extremely impressed and I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a luxury car like the Cadillac. More
