The Ed Martin Automotive group was founded in 1955 by Ed Martin Sr. Ed began life as the first born child of Clarence and Nellie Martin in the Indiana University Coleman hospital in Indianapolis, IN. His entrance into this world shows that his life was destined to be anything but typical.
Ed graduated from Manual High School as a football star and continued his football career at Butler University in Indianapolis. Ed's parents were both attorneys; his mother was the first woman to pass the bar in Allen County, Indiana; his father was a Supreme Court Justice for the State of Indiana. In 1946, in Indianapolis, Ed, at the tender age of sixteen, purchased his first automobile with money he earned from delivering groceries and selling ice in his neighborhood. He sold his first car from his parent's front yard. His parents, being both professional and very proud people did not allow Ed to continue selling cars from their front yard. So, Ed approached the neighborhood "filling" station owner and negotiated a deal to sell his cars from the station. As sales grew, it became apparent he had to open his own used car lot, from which he continued selling and wholesaling used cars. In 1955, Ed Martin purchased his first new car dealership, an Oldsmobile dealership in Shelbyville, Indiana. In 1960, Ed Martin became the youngest Ford Automotive dealer in the entire United States. Over the following years, the Ed Martin Automotive Group has evolved into one of the top privately owned corporations in Indianapolis and top eighty corporations in Indiana.

Logan did a great job of helping me to select a vehicle based upon what I was looking for in a car and my budget. He was open and honest about everything and he was never the “pushy car salesman” that peop based upon what I was looking for in a car and my budget. In July 2024, I purchased a used vehicle at Ed Martin Nissan of Fishers, and I had a great experience! The new sales manager apparently switched up tactics to "No Nonsense Pricing" and reduced prices acr Nissan of Fishers, and I had a great experience! The new sales manager apparently switched up tactics to "No Nonsense Pricing" and reduced prices across the lot, in an effort to move more inventory. Here are my ratings, out of 5 stars: ★★★★★ The salesman (Alan) was kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. ★★★★★ The vehicle price, which was reduced twice already prior to our arrival, then further negotiated down, upon asking. ★★★★★ The vehicle had some maintenance completed (oil change, air filter change, new brake rotors, new brake pads, detailed interior), and the car was looked over for general issues, by the service department. ★★★★★ Cheap paperwork fee of $225. ★★★★★ The general manager even came up and greeted me, while I was waiting for the process to complete. ★★★★★ Add-ons were easily refused, without badgering me. ★★★ The title/paperwork part took 36 days (July 18th - August 23rd, 2024), which was longer than I expected, as we did not do financing options. However, I still had one week to go to the Indiana BMV. I just expected the paperwork to be completed sooner. Overall, I would absolutely buy another vehicle from Ed Martin Nissan of Fishers, and the salesman, Alan, seemed to be a great guy. Go buy a car from Alan at Ed Martin! ★★★★★ More
