Best car buying experience ever! Rick McCoy and Nolan Crum made our car buying experience wonderful. After visiting numerous dealerships in Avon and Plainfield, we ended up going to Ed Martin. There was no haggling, no pressure to purchase a new vehicle. (Unlike numerous other dealerships we had visited.) Rick walked us step by step through all of our concerns. He made us feel comfortable and put our minds at ease. Nolan showed us all of the "ins" and "outs" of our new vehicle, and made us feel comfortable enough to drive our car off the lot. The dealership itself was the cleanest dealership we have visited. (And we visited quite a few!) Thank you Rick and Nolan, you have made our family Ed Martin customers for life! More
I purchased a Certified 2012 GMC Sierra 1500 with 13,000 miles when I went to pick it up it had hail damage that they tried to get me to accept that way. I told the salesperson I would not buy a 13,000 miles certified vehicle new to me vehicle with hail damage. The manager had already left and the salesman had to call him. Then when it came to the paperwork we had agreed to a total price out the door then they raised it $160. My father grew up with ed martin jr and sure he would be embarrassed with customers getting treated this way. Now they are fixing the hail damage and I have to make 2 trips because they couldn't get it all done and don't have another opening for 2 weeks. Make sure you check everything they will try to rip you off any chance they can to make more on you. More
Identified Ed Martin as a Costco dealer when we were initially looking at a new car. We got a prompt response as far as pricing on a new vehicle. We also were able to look at recently used vehicles online with better descriptions than most other sites. Their online listed pricing was the most competative so we started there. Once at the dealership we got a friendly welcome a great service. There was to pressure to buy new or used. Rich showed us all our options an we were able to get an ever better price. Used car was as described online. Business office made very competative financing. Staff was also great with our two kids. More
I purchased a pre-owned 2010 Ford Focus in May 2012. I was told that it passed a complete inspection. Two months later I had serious steering problems. I brought my 2001 GMC Yukon in to get a new tire put on and the oil changed. I also needed the car back that afternoon, which Ed Martin service said they could do. 4 hours after dropping off the Yukon I ge and the oil changed. I also needed the car back that afternoon, which Ed Martin service said they could do. 4 hours after dropping off the Yukon I get a call from a service tech who says I need four new tires (not 1) and there are other service issues - to the tune of $1,900. This was the 2nd time I had brought in the vehicle and was asked to pay double what I thought would be the charge. This time I told them to keep the spare on the vehicle and just change the oil. I took Ed Martin's list of services they wanted to make to another GM dealer whose head service tech told me all of the problems were non-existent and our tires had plenty of tread depth. Total bill - $179.00. Stay away from Ed Martin Buick GMC service as they have a reputation for gouging unknowing customers with inflated and unneeded service bills. More
I live in Ohio and purchased a used car from this dealership. Negotiated price and trade over the phone. Picked up the car and left thinking everything was fine. Week and a half later I get a call saying I owe 1700 dollars sales tax that they forgot to figure in as I'm from another state. Refused any compensation and would not let me have my old car back. The sales person was also not upfront about condition of the car. Worst experience I've ever had with a car dealer. Absolutely horrible customer service. Do not recommend. More
