If you work with Berlin City, avoid Andrew Caouette at all costs! He repeatedly told me that the price given was the final out-the-door cost with no hidden fees, then at the last minute added around a $1, all costs! When I confronted him about these hidden charges, he was downright confrontational and anything but professional. When I drove to the dealership to buy the vehicle, I found significant damage that I was not told about. Andrew played dumb and pretended like he didn't know it was there. He also guaranteed me an agreed price for my trade-in, which he did not honor at time of sale. Everyone else at Berlin City was great to work with, except Andrew Caouette. More

Your ads say that you can help anyone with bad credit. Well in my case that's false advertising as I don't have the greatest credit and I have pretty much been rejected to purchase a vehicle with Scott knap at the Gorham NH Berlin city location. I first contacted Scott about a week ago with interest in purchasing a vehicle and possibly trading my current vehicle in as well. I have terrible service at my home so I asked if it would be possible to keep in touch via email. He said that was not a problem. It took Scott no time at all to email me a copy of a credit application to see what he was working with. It then took over a day for him to get back to me after I called and sent emails in question of the status of my credit app. He asked if I could get a co signer. I didn't have a co signer to put on the app so he then said we could try without one. It then was another couple days before I finally got in touch with Scott and he replied that he had not yet submitted a deal to see if I could get approved. I had picked out a vehicle and Scott said that it was not a good vehicle for me to try for as it was too expensive. So I then picked out another vehicle and  he again said it wouldn't work as this one had too many miles. I then picked out a third vehicle for him to try on and he said he submit and try and get back to me. Scott did not once return my calls ever since the day he ran my credit and saw it wasn't the greatest. That looks very bad for Berlin city. I then called him for the 4th time that day and Scott replied that wells Fargo was willing to play ball but only with some money down. Oh and this is after scott told me he submitted the offer on a different car then i asked him too. I asked him to suit on a silver impala and he submitted on a brown impala because he thought it would be a better car for me. Rediculous. I told him I could put 500 down at the most. He then said he'd get back to me. Again he didn't contact me I had to contact him the very next day. He said we could get it done with 1000 down and I could get in to the car. I then talked to my boss and sold him a tv of mine to get the 1000 dollars I needed for down payment. Very excited I called Scott back and told him I got ahol of the cash he says ok I'll call you back there was a lot of people in the showroom..again I was not top priority to Scott because of my credit. Not hearing from Scott for several hours I call him back and he then tells me I can't get in to the car because my truck for trade In is not worth enough. He lied to me and jerked me around for a week to just be told I couldn't get the vehicle. I then called the manager bobby. He did not give his last name. Bobby told me he would do some digging and call me back. He DID call me back..very surprised. He said that because I owed 8200 on my truck they had to find a vehicle that had good book value. He kept saying it was nearly impossible and it would be like "finding a needle in a haystack". He then said he'd look for a car and call me early morning the next day. I never received a call back from bobby and I called him and left a message. Bobby then called me back in the afternoon and told me if I wanted to go elsewhere it would be in my best interest as again it was like finding a needle in a haystack and if he "happens" to stumble upon that vehicle that's impossible to find he would call me. Let it be known that no one should be treated this way because if a credit score. I will be contacting the better business bereau and file a complaint. I also will be contacting the local Berlin nh newspaper to publish my experience in the paper so that others know of my experience. I also want to warn people with bad credit should stay away from Berlin city and save themselves the embarrassment an hassle. Scott I have a copy of this email and if I do not hear from chad then I know you havnt sent this to him. I will come and deliver in person on my way to the paper.
