My rating is ZERO STARS!!! We bought a brand new Chrysler Van from Russell Griffin in February 2014. Even then, we had to haggle with him to get the 0% interest that was advertised. I have always taken that vehicle to them for service. Raymond Griffin, Jr. is super nice in the service department. In October 2019, we tried to purchase a Jeep for our son. I spoke with Russell Griffin FOUR TIMES in the same week about it, beginning on Monday. I told him that my husband works from daylight until dark. I told him that it would be Saturday before we could come to look at it and could he possibly hold it until then. He said he understood folks had to work. He said, "Sure, I'll be glad for y'all to come take a look at it." So in our phone calls that followed in that same week, I was sure to tell him that if we were not able to make it Saturday, then I would definitely call to let him know. When Friday came, I called Russell Griffin to let him know that my husband would be off work so we would be there Saturday and we would also be bringing our son to look at it. Then he tells me that he has another guy coming to look at it that day and HE would call me if it guy bought it. I said, "Gosh, I sure hope not!" Needless to say, I was a ball of nervous throughout the day at work. At 5pm, I still hadn't heard from Russell Griffin, so I breathed a sigh of relief. At 8:15am on Saturday, I called Russell Griffin just to make sure we could still come to look at the Jeep. He said, "Did MY PEOPLE not call you?" I said, "No, I haven't heard from anyone. You said YOU would call me." He said, "Well that guy did buy the Jeep." My heart sank. My rage and disappointment was overwhelming. I reminded Russell Griffin that we had talked FOUR TIMES about that Jeep and he knew that we couldn't get there until Saturday. I proceeded to ask why did he agree to hold it for us but he RUDELY interrupted saying, "Aw now, it's always been first come, first serve." He definitely DID NOT do what he said! He just reiterated the typical persona of a sleezy car salesman. We will no longer be affiliated with Griffin Motors! More
