Bought New 2019 Beetle - Delivered With Snots on Windshield Bought brand new 2019 beetle convertible and had it shipped to me. Car windshield had snots from a sneeze on the inside of the windshield. Also, on th Bought brand new 2019 beetle convertible and had it shipped to me. Car windshield had snots from a sneeze on the inside of the windshield. Also, on the side of the passenger seat was a wide and muddy sneaker footprint streak all the way down. Carpets dirty. White specks of paper on the carpets front and back. Outside was also never detailed. Rims filthy with black brake dust. Salesman acknowledged car was not detailed. Left message with office to have general manager call me - no callback to prior buyer reviews right on target. I should also tell you the paperwork was messed up by the F&I guy who left off the down payment and made several other mistakes. Oh yes, he was very condescending to me once I told him I did not want to buy additional services. More
Be careful about APRs and financing additional services Please take note; The staff are very friendly. Their job is to sale vehicles and profit. 1. If you are approved for financing with a third party Please take note; The staff are very friendly. Their job is to sale vehicles and profit. 1. If you are approved for financing with a third party, use them. Do not let them convince you to go through their banks they have a relationship with. They are all benefitting from one another. 2. Make sure your APR isn’t higher than what your third party creditor approved 3. Read all paperwork BEFORE signing it. 4. Look out for paperwork that titled conditional delivery. Read it in detail and ask for clarification 5. DO NOT finance service plans or gap insurance. Do the math. You are better off saving the additional amount than financing it. You WILL pay more if you finance a service plan, gap insurance etc. My auto insurance only charge $29 for gap coverage. The finance director tried to offer it at $15/month plus the APR. The more plans you add to your monthly payment the better it looks for the bank they send your paperwork to. You end up financing more with the bank than if you keep your payment at the normal monthly payment. More
Didn't close, but a great salesman Although we couldn't close on the deal due to a significant dealer incentive out of the Cleveland area, I still feel a need to share my dealings with Although we couldn't close on the deal due to a significant dealer incentive out of the Cleveland area, I still feel a need to share my dealings with salesman, Steve Novak. Steve was about as professional as they come. He kept me in the loop without going overboard and pestering me (there is a fine line there). He was honest, friendly and knowledgeable concerning the CX5 that I was punching. I sure do recommend Steve if you are shopping at Eastside Mazda. More
No xx Salesperson- Ed Davis- 5 star gentleman, And I never rate anything 5 stars... I was looking for a certain CPO vehicle and willing to travel for it. Salesperson- Ed Davis- 5 star gentleman, And I never rate anything 5 stars... I was looking for a certain CPO vehicle and willing to travel for it. I dealt with 10-15 dealerships from Ohio to MD. I came across some really slimy tactics and unbelievably rude salespeople at other dealers. I have zero tolerance for that At Eastside we settled on a price, but then I got held up (VW buyback) and couldn't get out there until almost 2 weeks later. I was lucky the vehicle was still there, and we picked up where we left off. They even still honored the price we negotiated from a few weeks earlier (which based on mileage and year was far better than anyone else). I traveled 4 hrs to get out there and was on the road with the car in about an hour. No funny stuff. No trying to tack on extras. No red flags. No aggravation. Ed Davis seemed like a genuinely nice guy. Not fake nice, not pushy, not intimidating. While other salespeople were upfront on what days they weren't available, Ed even came in on his day off to close the deal. Well worth the day trip to get a better deal without any xx More

I brought my car in after the engine, oil and brake lights came on simultaneously. They advised me to add oil and bring the car in immediately. I was told the car needed a new oil pump and I asked if a lights came on simultaneously. They advised me to add oil and bring the car in immediately. I was told the car needed a new oil pump and I asked if anything else was wrong with the car. The service agent responded, "not that I see." The car was "repaired" and the same lights came on after I drove the car three miles away from the dealership. I added oil and returned the car. They said there was notning wrong when they drove the car. They cleanded the oil pan and everything was fine. I picked up the car and two days later, after driving eight miles (total) the lights came on again and smoke came out of the hood. I had the car towed back and was told I needed a new anti-lock brake sensor and that there was a "tiny" oil leak. The service agent said the car could drive fine without the Antil-lock brake sensor if I wanted to delay the repair. I asked why I wasn't told about the leak and the anti=lock brake sensor when I first brought the car in, especially since the oil, engine, and ABS lights were on. The service-representative said they didn't place the car on the computer until the third visit. "It had to be the oil pump if the oil light was on." I declined further service and immediately drove the car to another repair shop that was highly recommended to me. The receptionist smelled burining oil as soon as I pulled the car into the garage. The car required more than three thousand dollars in repairs. It now drives like new. The second repair shop said the car had a lot of heat damage which caused numerous leaks - not one. The damage to the car could have resulted in an explosion, or a crash. This was the correct diagnosis; I had recently relocated from a hot southern city. After this experience, I still have my Volkswagen, but decided to purchase a Toyota instead of a Volkswagen for our second family vehicle. Fred Vincent did not make me feel safe enough to consider purchasing a second Volkswagen, even though they are wonderful vehicles. More
